Top work CM [Famalam], S&B know what goes on. They know that there are still alotta heads that fiend. Whether theyll get involved on here, im not so sure, tbh, they are makin a doc about the show, so im sure they have other things to tend with. But its def worth asking. They know that a generation grew up with these shows, but I doubt theyd have the desire or time to communicate openly and widely on a forum. Cos S&B were so personable at the time, and evidently continue to be, if you hit em up on the other platforms [with questions that are interestin to them, as well as you] you might find a different outcome. Naturally, in the flesh adds another level of bread breakin.

If you hit Harlem for the May 22 screenin and you get a chance, ask Bobb what the extra DVD material plans are.

• As well as typical bonus DVD material that would impress the cultural tourists, will the age-ing cadbury-fiends down from the jump be able to finally enjoy an exhaustive full archive of the shows ?
• Does Bobb really not have a cell-phone [How do ya Instagram without a celly] ?
• Will he be sharing the diaries or at least some shots or info from them?
• When he mentioned that some artists 'dont' speak to them any longer [from that Juan Epstein piece], who 'isnt available' for the documentary interviews?
• Is Stretch still a part-time dog-walker ?

Just been listenin to a show from 22 May 1997 when Eclipse covered while the big man was in Miami, im gonna chuck it up on my SC soon but for proper propers, who originally shared it [its in two pieces]?

I aint finished it but the majority of the TL is below. Always gtta thank the right rippers. Any help appreciated.

As ever, huge propers to Serch for that easy-access Mega Archive.

Rock rock on.

And now from the world of weird coincidences, that's the exactly the set I have on my headphones since yesterday. And Mr. good Irish, sir, I have the following good news and......good news....for you. The good news is that

http://stretchandbobbito.blogspot.com/1 ... 4512883557

and also furthermore that

http://hiphop-thegoldenera.blogspot.com ... -22nd.html (unikone)

Please keep in mind, that I CHEATED. And used Soundhound and Shareaza for almost all of my track IDs.

The GOOD news is that you now get to go lay down on the couch for a couple hours.

I will now regain my indie cred by identifying C-Rayz Walz as the instro in the first three minutes of the Bobbito interview, above. Which is fucking great, thank you. I now have nominal love for Hot 97, or at least this Juan Epstein guy. Also, C-Rayz Walz's "Year of the Beast" is a funny album, and not for everybody, but it got me through the summer of 06 after a bad breakup. (Along with Amethyst Rock Star and Die Rugged Man Die, and selected Atmosphere.).

All jokes aside, I'm still waking up, but agree with what you said above. B. said he scanned his diary in high-res before sharing the date-list w pf people back when this all got started-- to Verge? Nes? Sleep? Aleph? maybe we can sweet-talk him out of the .jpgs one day. And yes on the other questions--when my brain is unscrambled I'll think abt how to present upcoming. Totally first priority is to not seem like I'm harassing the guy at all, but done correctly I hope to think these are all questions we can get answers for. Sorry if this all seems a bit slapdash. Need coffee.

Top work fella, cheers for that. I've patched the parts together and i'll be droppin the set [20 minutes short of 4 hours] on the 22nd May. Its a doozy, Eclipse is firin with the random tunes, but all so good. And nice to have a show with a theme.

Big shouts to Serch for the parts and thanks again Chris, saved me a shed-load of time there, muchos thanks.

So, who do I thank for the original rips ? Serch ?

BTW. Juan Epstein is the collective name of Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg, the 2 guys that do the breakfast show on HOT97, amongst other things.

They arent anywhere near as deep as some of the heads on here, but they have experience in the industry. They do a fairly decent interview, even if they miss the point sometimes. Def worth checkin for the odd interview...

i know im writing this in the wrong spot, but i see someone started a pete rock & marley marl future flavas thread
and i think we should show it love just like we did this Stretch & Bob thread..
both of these shows were vital in the 90s hip-hop and we should keep them preserved and documented
i have plenty rips of the future flavas show and ill send them to anyone who can id the tracks and put them in their thread
just holla at me when u can..
Stretch & bob was great and so was future flavas....lets keep em both alive!!

No question Brandan, if I were you, I'd do a basic tracklist on the FF thread alongside each upload, with as much info as you know, get em up there, let the heads hear em, and we'll all add on to whatever tracklist you kick off with.

It worked here, why not there.

FF was a firin show too, no doubt, Future FUEGO !!!

When is the 89.1fm WNYU New York Live Show thread starting?

Not nearly enough Martin Moore & DJ Mayhem classic shows posted. :fail:

true!

I think there's only been about 2-3 shows ever posted either on here or online.

The best one being the classic 1996 show with the X-Men cuttin/mixin and Pete Rock and INI as guest.

yeah they had joints. Always had static when l taped from that station so that made me not tape as much. But the Half a Mil and NE demos and freestyles was the main attraction for me. Nes posted a lot of those.

great idea irish craig, im gonna start doin that
like i said most of these songs i dont know so as long as somebody comeback thru and id the tracks i dont know would b great

we started off this thread with barely nothing and grew...
and i think the same can happen with the Future Flavas thread....
also that WnyU show was crazy as well, we can grow that thread as well...
it seems we have some possible new projects to work on and if we all work together again we can get this done not only for us but for the children (i sound like ODB at the '97 grammys)

What's going on Phila Flava massive? It's been a minute since I was on the check in -- looks like there's a whole gang of stuff to catch up on. Before I get to backtracking through all the new pages on this thread, a quick question for curious minds -- what's the last song/instrumental on the 1/22/98 show? It's been driving me bonkers all day...
