hectic - it's actually from December 1999 but it's real dope
Spinna does of set of strictly joints he produced
it'll be on DW in next couple of days if not sooner

Craig - yea that first part of the show with AZ was
posted already, it was actually the first S&B tape I dropped
on dirty waters. I clipped out the mic break with Bobbito and his father
because it went on for a long time and wanted to trim it to
less than 80 minutes to throw on a CD

Talk with Stretch & Bobbito and an inebriated Ramon Garcia [Bobbs' Pop]
You can hear Bobb gigglin' as he rings his Dad and leaves the mic open, unbeknownst to his drunk Dad on the other end of the phone whos talkin to his own mate. Ramon is hyped and Bobb cant get him off the line quick enough. Jokes...

I uploaded the same 1/28/93 show that Craig recently posted. I believe his show has the first 60 or 90 minutes. My show has the last 3 hours (somehow missed the first hour). So in addition to what he listed for guests this show also includes Ol Dirty Bastard, Diezzle Don, Tame One, Mad Izm Crew (?), Hurricane G & Keith Murray.

Tape 1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GZ6YYNUD

Tape 2 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JYPR2H6G

I have the 11/24/94 show which I'm assuming is the Thanksgiving show (haven't listened in a while). I'll up it sometime soon.

Ten Thieves should be listed to the 2/9/95 show (first group on).

Has anyone made note of preempted shows on KCR? Might make it easier to have those dates listed as "not on air" when doing the timeline so people aren't looking for shows that don't exist. I remember hearing one of these recent shows we put up where Bob says they weren't on last week.

Verge, I'll check for that space shuttle show.

speaking of Foul Play demos...

I kinda lost hope of hearing this again
but maybe Eclipse might have it. This is a version
of Boo-Yah (that's how it be) with Heltah Skeltah
dropping verses and not just doing the hook
I cued it late on the tape and always wanted to get
the full version...

Yeah, I got that. It's actually a Doo Wop freestyle/promo they did for him. Don't remember if he ever used it or not. I'll up that one in a future post.

Also guys, looks like tonight will be the last KCR show with Sucio. As of today it's officially his last show, but he's going to try and see if he can extend it one more week, but they haven't been working with him so far.

Yeah I heard that announcement live and I was actually gonna ask Bob if we didn't get some sort of response about that soon. Good to hear it's actually happening, even down to the date it's airing on, I thought that possibility might have been lost with the end of Squeeze Radio.

Obviously someone has to (stream and) record that show. I mean I'm sure it'll get done regardless but I want to make sure that it happens.

Peace Eclipse!

That Thanksgiving show from 94 had a dude call up and rhyme over Stretch's remix of OC's Born To Live. I haven't heard that tape in 10 or 11 years since I lost it. Hopefully you had that part recording. Bob was talking over the UTD's My Kung Fu instrumental. Then the dude called up and rhymed. His name was K-Dash. He ripped it.

"When I start to rock it's hard to stop
it's been a while since I checked the barbershop
but hey, still your supposed to drop your album
I'll crush you to dust just like talcom powder
and I'm X-ing out chumps with Malcom's power"

Hopefully you got that shit. Thanks for everything either way. True Hip Hop legend. Mad love.

I don't have the exact date, but it was June or July of 95 for sure.

For your auditory enjoyment..Sorry no exact date..thinking August/September of 1994..converted from my unmarked Maxell Capsule 110min tape..Guests Sadat X, Lord Jamar, Maestro Manny & Tony Bones. Side A starts with the end of the Reggae Riddims show..Sleepy editing caused me to miss a lot of the Tony Bones freestyle..Enjoy.

word thanks for another show Craig. On the mic break they said the week before was Thanksgiving, so this show is most likely 11-30-1995

I'm pretty sure there were no shows on these dates-

6-8-1995
11-23-1995 (Thanksgiving)
12-21-1995

That show with Jay-Z and Jaz over the Woo-Ha was on Boogie and the Barber Hot 97 show, I'm sure that freestyle session has been posted somewhere...
True, thanks for the info. Yeah, Stretch had been going on Twitter rants the last few days about the KCR days, which is when he mentioned the Whoo Ha freestyle, so I thought it was from a KCR visit. I never knew about the I Shot Ya freestyle, must have missed that week.

Stretch Armstrong Bobbito says "your man" to Big L, referring to Jay-Z from that freestyle, because L was already a fixture at KCR, guesting many times prior.

I don't remember any other line but he blacked the fuck out even Stretch and Bob were like WTF? LOL

My boy Susu has so many tapes, I lost most of mine. He had more to begin with anyways, but either way we always talk about getting up and ripping them but he lives kinda far so.. but one day.
That Agent 106 freestyle was 7/6/95..G-Bo The Pro brought up a DAT with the illest beat on it for Agent 106 to flow on..Unfortunately my tape from 7/6/95 got eaten in a tape deck but I have the actual freestyle on a compilation tape I made..shit is classic.
dirtywaters wrote:@pradadon - I do have this one, but just the freestyles, no interview or rest of the show.
Pretty much same thing like hectic was saying

I hit record instead of play right towards the end so itcuts off and in again for a second

did this dude come out with vinyl or an LP? I don't have the part on the KRS beat either don't know why I didn't tape it

yo Hectic, on that 7-20-1995 show you have, was IG Off and Hazardous on there?
I think they were up there freestyling that same night with mad skillz, jay-z and cash $

did you guys peep this link? this dude posted that roots freestyle over that heath brothers (nas one love sample) from 3-16-1995.
peep it ... http://www.hiphopsite.com/category/old-joints/
Lord Digga, Masta Ace, Paula Perry and Smif N Wessun were up that same night.. I'm feenin for this full show
I have to go back and check that 7.20.95 tape Nes..sounds familiar that all those artists were on the show..not sure how much of that night I recorded.

Was definitely hot to hear that Roots freestyle again..haven't heard it in a while..That had to be a bootleg of Smilin' Billy Suite that Stretch was cutting up.

Besides the freestyle you posted Nes, the only other shit from Agent 106 I've heard was a freestyle with him, Method Man, and Redman. He used to make freestyle appearances on Rei Double R & G-Bo The Pro mixtapes which you can readily find online and are classic.
Digital Stimulation wrote:Agent 106 was down with Double R & G-Bo and did many intros, freestyles and exclusive tracks for their mixtapes, many of which hit the blog scene a few years ago and can probably still be tracked down with a bit of research.

He was in Unsigned Hype back in '96, and is probably most famous for freestyling on The Wake Up Show with Redman and Method Man around that time and outshining them both.
You can listen to the Agent 106, Method Man, Redman freestyle here...

Bob actually kept a diary. He would come home no matter how late it was after the showג€”at six in the morning heג€™d be writing in his diary what happened at the show, his thoughts, recollections. Thatג€™s why Bob is a really great resource for actually mapping out all of the bigs who came up and whatnot. I was trying to find some of the old recordings that I donג€™t have, including the first time that Biggie was on the radio, which was on our show. No one has been able to get me a recording of it.

Now that sounds like a logical project given his photographic memory. I'd read that shit a thousand times.
I agree that would be some ill ass reading material. I was also hoping at some point there would maybe be a dvd of footage from the show as i'm sure there is a lot of footage out there. I've got some footage from the CM Famalam Show & Footwork on vhs tape somewhere from a show that was broadcast here in england.
An official catalogue, DVD and / or book would all be dope. I'd buy any or all of the three in an instant. In fact, it'd be fun to work on projects like that.

Here is my recording from last night..straight off the radio in mono..recorded on my Harmon Kardon CDR 20..Missed some minutes when changing CD's, especially around 3:40am-3:50am when I was half asleep..Got till about 5:20am with three 80 minute discs..Hopefully the whole six hours is posted in it's entirety uninterrupted as rumored..I must say it was an out of body experience hearing the Big L/Jay-Z freestyle that was ripped from my tape played as part of the intro to the show..I'm on cloud 9 today..but crazy tired..Peace to the entire Philaflava massive!

You're welcome.

No, actually the recording was from home. I set up my M-Audio Microtrack recorder to my receiver and put it on record before I left the crib for the evening. Just made sure my antenna was in the right position. Edited out the show before and after when I got home. The original recording is at 320, but of course converted a copy to 160 to make it uploadable/downloadable.

Brandan ג€“ A lot of the Stretch tapes I post are from my friend Greg Tג€™s collection, thatג€™s why Iג€™m always shouting him out. We would tape a lot of the same shows, but he would tape without pausing. He deserves more credit, and Stretch as well because he ripped Gregג€™s shows. If I had the foresight, I wouldnג€™t have paused at all.

I know Bob championed the Euro/international scene way more than Stretch did, and he continued to play UK hip hop when he did CM Famalam- London Posse, Funky DL, Roots Manuva, KC Da Rookee included.
Word, those Funky DL joints were great, I thought they were demos until I found the record at the og sound Library.
Also, add on Lewis Parker to the UK love Bob showed. He played "Mysteries Of Life" in it's demo form. I have it on vinyl now and I don't think there's any difference at all. I used to bug on the accent the way he said "drinkin alcoholic tunnic(tonic), rest for a sec while i catch my breath like sunnic(sonic)". No dis, I just wasn't used to hearing brit accents on rap records back then, though I've found many great UK records from back then, since then.
Word to what Nes said, too.
