That's from the fifth year anniversary show (September 28th, '95), originally available through Stretch on Konstant Kontakt, reupped by Brandan on Recog the Real and re-reupped by me in this thread just a page and a couple days back.

I know you already got your answer, they've been upped but it wasn't a full rip, so whenever it's a different rip then the more the merrier.

It was still a good question, just because a show has been posted doesn't necessarily mean that the show you have and what we have already available to us contain the same exact audio.

Eventually as more details are posted for each show it'll get even easier to coordinate exactly who has what.

Speaking of, would you mind ripping side A of that AZ / Special Ed show from June 15th of '95 as well? 'cause you posted side B / part two and Nes had posted his portion from side A but it'd be nice to have both "versions" from the same source (and also to see if there's any material that didn't overlap due to pausing or the tape cutting out or whatever).

Yeah, that's one of the next steps, I'll be doin' that. I transcribed them up to certain point and that has taken a back burner to more prevalent parts of this project.

It just takes longer to transfer over that information rather than just the date of a show but it's all sitting there so when I have a second I'll continue with that, no doubt.

Props to aleph and bomba for the Hot 97 show from Sunday, October 12th, '97 (added). (And peace to Brandan and Krisch on the tracklisting.)

Kirsch, Aleph and all the ID'ers on here.. Do you guys want to split up the un-IDed shows amongst each other? I think in the long run we will accomplish more and do it at a faster rate this way... Then each person can up the tracklist for their assigned show and if there are any missing pieces we can help each other out. Just an idea. I'm kinda confused here at what shows I have and don't have... and which shows are fully IDed and not, is the blog updated?

That's my point in assigning shows. I think it'd be more efficient this way. I think I'm OK at ID'ing tracks myself man, and I will do what I can... i'm working hard on getting these digitized. for some odd reason i keep doing something wrong. i will either have to run out and when i come back Audacity failed.

so far i almost have 2 done.

one from 94 with Rampage the Last Boyscout

and one from 97 with Othorized Fam

i really have no clue how i am going to match up the 100 loose tapes haha

Yes, I did foresee the inevitable playlist issue. That will be worked into a revamped design when I'm available. For now it's about getting the information out there, together and organized.

Word to all this. I was going to rename all the files as part of the mirroring process I was gonna get to eventually. So past files will be sorted that way eventually on the site as well. I think my format will be the same way as Eclipse, Stretch_Bobbito_10_25_90_PT_1 and I'll just leave out the guests.

I was gonna try to work them into the filenames for easy reference but there's really no feasible way to do that with the lists of names for some of the shows. So people are going to have to remember, retag or reference either this thread or the Stretch and Bob site in order to try to get the full list of guests in the tracknames and all that.

But I'll try to put a text / word file in each download that contains all that info as well. Even after people stop posting shows I'll probably have work to do to get everything exactly how it should be archived and presented.

For those asking for a list of shows that need track identification still, that will become a lot more apparent once the rest of the playlists get copied over. For now, I just quickly ran through my files, this thread and the Stretch and Bob site and highlighted some of the ones I didn't see offhand. So I'm sure I'm missing some (especially for unknown dates or Hot 97 shows) or may have incorrectly marked one as missing a playlist. Feel free to add on and / or correct me, this is really just a rough starting guide to help out for now:

It's the most logical title. It's funny that Stretch should ask bc it doesn't seem like "Freak Love" was ever released. Or wasn't in wide release anyway. I think it's one of two tracks that were played on the radio that always go unmentioned on their discography (the second one is not coming to mind but I'm positive that it'll pop up on a show). If it doesn't ring a bell for Stretch then Eclipse can definitely ID it. Wasn't he managing them or Rapper Ness at one point?

I've just ripped the 4/14/94 show with Mad Skillz & Q-Tip. It's about 3 1/2 hours of the show. One thing though, my tape flips right during Mad Skillz verse when he's rhyming with Tip (not the infamous verse over 45 King beat, the next one). Does anyone have a good quality rip of the second part of that freestyle (over the Artifacts beat) they can send me? I'd like to piece the freestyle together before uploading it.

I do NOT have the Oct/93, 2/23/95 or 11/16/95 show that people have asked me about.

TheBigSleep / aleph Yes, the Dynasty joint was called "Freak Love". Never put it out. They have a bunch more demos, but that was one of the ones I liked better which I think I ran once or twice.

There's gotta be a more manageable way to do the IDing. The main problem is the amount being done in such a short space of time. It was easier when it was one at a time, then cats could chime in to fill in the blanks and make corrections if needed.

Brandan, how about doing one show (at most two) every other day? That way the rest of us have sufficient time to add our 2cents. Also, your efforts are definitely not going unappreciated but I noticed some errors in your IDing. Don't take offence if I suggest that we do a "second count" to verify.

Sound reasonable?

Edit: Also if we could all take a breather in IDing new shows for now, we could take care of the playlists already done in the last 2 days. Say, until Monday? Just a suggestion.

Yeah, I'm aware of what ????? means. I'm talking about the odd track that you misidentify (but there aren't many).

The amount of tracklists you post creates a bit of chaos. I find it hard to navigate from page to page trying to figure out what you id'ed and what others (mainly Krisch) have filled in. Just slow down is all.

I uploaded both of the shows and definitely have one of the dates wrong. the Hot 97 show was only 2 hours long. I think the date on the Large Pro show is wrong. The large Pro show is definitely one of the first handful of shows though, probably feb or march

Edit: I'm listening to it right now, during the mic break Stretch says they were trying to bring Trigger Tha Gambler & Smoothe Da Hustler to the show, but that didn't work out, so they have no guests.

As Large Pro is in the studio on Nes' part, I assume we might have the wrong date for this part?

Edit 2: here is the tracklisting for it. i know we wanted to slow it down with the tracklistings, but i wanted to proof my point that this has possibly the wrong date, as they also play Mobb Deep - Back At You and Tragedy - L.A. L.A. (different mix though)
