Trying to attach yourself to S&B seems just a tad gimmicky though?
I'd be fucking astonished if anything on there was even slightly similar to golden era Pete Rock, Q Tip or Primo seeing as those guys struggle to capture that feeling in their current music.

A higher quality, full version of a show already posted here at some point. Props as always to DJ Eclipse...this episode definitely has some gems. :hooray:

The Stretch & Bobbito Show w/DJ Eclipse 89.9 WKCR July 4, 1996

"This was one of my favorite shows I did on KCR (aside from the Righteous show). Bob and I went set for set of playing nothing but independent joints since it was Independence Day (or Independent's Day to us). He set it off with demos (aka his Space Shuttle set) and then I came on (19:07) and rocked for about an hour. After that Bob gets on again (82:00) for a half hour and jumps on the mic (1:13:17) before I get back on (1:18:40) with an old school set. Bob returns (1:82:55) to the mic before getting back into another Space Shuttle set (1:85:13). We wrap it up (224:04) while we wait for the jazz man to take over. Shout out my man Mike Mack from SC aka the cable guy who was hanging out with us."

The unreleased Father Time RMX at the beginning of E's set is ill.

What is the demo after Punch n Words feat. Red Hot Lover Tone @ 192 minutes? Mr. Voodoo and Sparks - What You Wanna Do? (or is the first dude called RA and just sounds a bit like Voo?) After that we got a Bee Why feat. unknown track.

@ 207:50 ID?

thanks so much for this one, some great demos. I've been trying to get one of the groups who has a demo in this set to give me more demos for a nice heavy jewel record. I'll try to my last breath heh.

Also the Mack-A-Damien Thorne was actually on a cassette single that kevin beacham shared here years ago. song is called It Looks Like Reign. another guy i started working on a record with but he fell off the earth, i really wanted that Looks Like Reign on vinyl, will try again.

oh man, i hope that See'ers demo is decent quality finally, though it may have been poorly recorded to begin with. Simple joint, just nostalgic to me. They had that one other demo bob played called Dont Fuck With I, still hasn't surfaced.

EDIT:
The last ?, between the UBAD joint and the Siah, there's nothing.

sorry about that. for some reason i always confuse this one. i have the record, the song or the group is called "the ib's" or something like that, can't remember and can't find anything even similar on discogs. it's white writing on a black label and maybe the opposite on the other side. this is gonna drive me mad, lol, just went through a bunch of records where it should be but it's not there.. maybe it really doesn't exist?!

EDIT:
yay! here it is:

not sure about the one with the broken language beat but it sounds a lot like something rudy ray Moore (dolomite) would have done

haha, not really, Stretch inspired me to post shows after I saw him posting on konstant kontact, also there was a guy A to the L, maybe few others. Thanks for the shouts though. Nobs/Aleph/Eclipse really killed this thread the most.
