KOOL G RAP GUEST APPEARANCE COMPILATION CAN WE DO IT

Post by DJMIKENICE »

G rap has made more cameo appearances over the past few years than any other legendary mc. G's on a bunch of obscure shit from kids in Japan to Italy.

Do you think its possible we can all band together and constructive the ultimate G Rap cameo collection.

Basically every song G Rap was featured on as a guest

I say let's do it!I can take the appearances up until let's say 2000 for now

As always when I do this, I'm going to be using discogs.com, it's fairly accurate and complete as far as I know

G Rap's Royal Status compilation would be a good start to build on. It features about 60 non-album tracks including lots of cameo appearances. Too bad I don't know who originally compiled and uploaded this stuff, anyways props to the guy who's responsible for it.

Yo whattup Mike Nice! Did you ever hit up Kevvy Kev @ KZSU Stanford Radio like I had mentioned in that PM a couple months ago?

Anyways, when are we gonna get more treats from you??? Seems like you haven't put anything new up on your blog since November. Hows about more songs from Jay-Z's demo tape? Or other peoples demo tapes?

I guess EC Records released at least two versions of TLS2: One can be found on the Smut Peddlers album, the other one was part of the EC All Stars compilation II or III.

The case might be similar to the Canibus and Rakim track - different versions on Canibus' album and on the Celebrity Deathmatch album

Ok who's gonna put this together? Cause I will if no one else does.

I have "Pain In Many Forms" by Bowtie feat. Kool G Rap & La the Darkman and "Reckless Eyeballin" with G Rap, Wisemen, Verbal Threat... and they aren't in that collection Max upped.

Yup!! That's off the Wake Up Show Unreleased Project album (LP and CD) from 1996 and the song is actually titled...

D'Angelo feat. Kool G Rap - "Brown Sugar (King Tech Remix 95)"

See, when all someone has is a souless mp3, and not the actual vinyl (or sometimes CD), they tend to mislabel shit and not give the EXACT and PROPER information about a song. Pretty sad, but thankfully I have the original vinyl and was able to correct this blunder. You're welcome...

Kazeiro from the rap dungeon blog tried to create one, but he didn't have the time to complete it. Kool g rap has released tons of new shit since then (since 2007) and some older stuff has also leaked, but for the reference it's still a good place to start:

It's your rip, really??? I just downloaded it and in the comments section it says "Eis-Krylon" and then for the year it says "2002" and there is NO information about the producer, and again, YOU TITLED THE SONG WRONG!!! Why would you just say "Brown Sugar (Remix)" when it's actually titled "Brown Sugar (King Tech Remix 95)"??? Also, there's not even information about the album or where the song comes from. Go listen to that Dred Scott song "Liar" cuz this ain't your rip, step son. *shaking head*

See, when I convert something from my vinyl or even a cd I go and put ALL THE CORRECT INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!! I put everything... CORRRECT song title, artist, who's featured (if anybody), the CORRECT year, CORRECT album info, producer info, etc. One more thing that leads me to believe this is NOT your rip is the fact you didn't put your stupid blogs info into the properties of the song like you do with everything else your ass uploads. *shaking head*

1 - calm down
2 - shut the fuck up
3 - stop catching feelings over something so insanely unimportant I cant even believe Im bothering replying.
4 - as it matters to you so much I can only assume what happened was that I actually downloaded it to save me ripping my 12", which you'll be happy to hear is actually a bootleg.
5 - if you already have this on 12" and you hate MP3s why the fuck did you download it and bother to check?!

6 - please stop posting.

YOU TITLED THE SONG WRONG!!! Why would you just say "Brown Sugar (Remix)" when it's actually titled "Brown Sugar (King Tech Remix 95)"???
you seem really annoyed about this :ohsh: why is it so important to you? I titled it like that because its a remix of Brown Sugar by D'angelo that features Kool G Rap. I only have the one so didnt feel the need to distinguish it. happy?

Hmmmm, it's important to me cuz this is one of the EXACT reasons I hate all this mp3 garbage! People don't title shit properly!! If you're gonna upload something, DO IT RIGHT!!! It's really not that hard.

And I fuckin KNEW you didn't upload that shit yourself... You're such a fuckin liar with your lame response of "i've got the vinyl, this was my rip." And even worse, you don't even actually own the real vinyl!!! *shaking head* NO WONDER you didn't even know how to title it cuz on your lame bootleg it probably just says "Brown Sugar (Remix)". And you probably didn't even know it was a King Tech remix!! Again, this is why owning the original of things where the CREDITS are listed is IMPORTANT!!

Alrighty, that's been settled. Carry on and have a wonderful day...

- i did upload it.
- it turns out it wasnt my rip (thats different from an upload, homo) but i do own a bootleg 12" that I bought back in 95 which credits it as a King Tech remix
- when you're 16 years old, can only get into London once a month, and dont have a lot of cash, a 6 track bootleg with a load of hard to find promo cuts is fucking awesome. this one in question also has SOP 'Styles', Money Boss 'Crap Game', Royal Flush 'Weak Production' and the remixes of Pharcyde 'Running'. Decent quality and the shit prob cost me about
