A cool meeting of new producer and veteran. !llmind interviews Evil Dee who shares some stories I never heard about the beginnings of Beatminerz and how Enta Da Stage came to be
Thanks for this, the Evil Dee interview is fuckin nice! He drops some shit I didn't know...

- Black Moon was first called UNIQUE IMAGE back in '88.
- Black Moon got signed off a song called "Feminine Hood" which was a joint just like Apache's "Gangsta Bitch".

Has the "Feminine Hood" demo joint ever leaked??? And is there any unreleased Black Moon joints with all the original members... Buckshot, 5FT, Finsta and DJ Evil Dee? Has a Black Moon demo tape ever surfaced?
Nope and all this info is in this great book...

Image

I spoke to Finsta on Facebook and he said that there are demos with him but he doubts that they would ever see the light of day.

Damn, always meant to grab that book. I think I finally will (edit: I just ordered it off Amazon). And damn, that's too bad about the original Black Moon joints.

Btw, for those of you who love that Propo’88 & Blabbermouf “From The Top Of The Stack” album, they just appeared on some radio show out in Europe last Saturday January 5. Enjoy...

Here's a new NORE joint featuring and produced by The Large Professor. Its actually a pretty good joint! I only say that cuz NORE has been wack for a while now, but he's actually not NORE anymore... he changed his name to P.A.P.I. haha

As a german I'm still amused abot the new N.O.R.E. alias because it means daddy in german, but it is more a ladies word for daddy. Perfectly fits to the ladies rapper N.O.R.E., ha ha...

Hispanic females all over the hoods of America call men papi too, that's not an unusual of humorous thing here though I guess it's' different in Europe according to your observation of the word. Remember the Big Daddy Kane line: "Puerto RIcan girls be callin' me papi, some try to copy but they look sloppy".

Something new that reminds me of The early 90's that an artist from Brooklyn sent me today.

I finally gave the new PRO ERA mixtape album a full listen from start to finsh and did so TWO times in a row while I was out & about driving around earlier and it's a damn good album!! Easily one of the years best. There was only 1 song that I didn't like which is #16 "Bun N Cheese" cuz the beat is WACK!! I don't like them kinda beats... sounds similar to that lame southern bullshit. But yeah, great fuckin album!! Statik Selektah has the best beats on it, but all the other beats except the one I mentioned are dope too. Listen to the verse that Capital STEEZ spits on #2 "Run or Fly" cuz it seems to shed a little insight on his suicide. Also, everyone on this album can spit! Obviously the best are Joey BADA$$ and Capital STEEZ, but yeah, everyone did their thing. It's all about The Outdoorsmen and Pro Era... Fuck them Black Hippies cuz their music is mostly wack.
Here's the Live From HeadQCourterz radio show with DJ Premier from Friday night 01/11/2013 with special guest Joey BADA$$ and a couple of the Pro Era Cats. Enjoy...

A couple of my favorite back-to-back, tag team rhyming of recent. Premier & Eclipse play the Jakk Frost cut a lot.

A post I made which spotlights my favorite war-themed and revolutionary songs of the new millennium. I always felt like this was a powerful sound and vision of Hip Hop since Rakim brought it to light in the early 90's, I'm glad to see it still alive today.

I first started to listening to his production through a Big L remix he did. He dropped an instrumental album last year. Here is the results. Vibes.

For Hip Hop of today that reminds me of the 90's, and just good Hip Hop in general I should have posted these guys already.

This new one reminds me of the late 80's/early 90's, fast rhyming over funky music.

i'm thinking that the label might be waiting for the new Sparrow album to be finished before finally dropping the Physics LP. Here's a long snippet of a new one produced by The Custodian Of Records:
