THE PHARCYDE (4 unknown tracks - All Solved)

Post by vaporized2 »

I found an old CD I must've made 10 yrs ago off stuff I got off bearshare or one of those filesharing sites,
came across these 4 pharcyde tunes and no idea what they are so can anyone help me ID them.
- they're not on the 'sold my soul' remixes/b sides/rarities comp

this one sounds Bizarre Ride era, sounds like a j-sw!ft beat EDIT Rubber Song thanks Jonny

http://www.divshare.com/download/12079192-752
this one sounds labcabin era, sounds like maybe a jay dee beat EDIT Gotcha Lookin thanks King Tron 1

http://www.divshare.com/download/12079196-62b
sounds like after labcabincalifornia, bit more r'n'b. EDIT Tears thanks Bigg Boss Luciano

http://www.divshare.com/download/12079232-cb1
not sure about this one EDIT Heart & Soul thanks cenzi

If I'm being an idiot and they're obvious then can we just turn this into a Pharcyde appreciation thread, instead.
I'm also looking for a CDQ version of the Another Level b side with Pharcyde on it produced by Laylaw (forgot the name of the track)

^ I set it to "yes" ages ago, and it is still set to "yes" now. thought maybe my laptop was playing up and everyone else could see the players...
had this problem before with divshare once

surely if everyone else's HTML is set to "yes" it shouldn't be a problem anyway? I don't know why it is only showing the code

The song is called Tasty and it's on The 6th Man Soundtrack.
Not a fan of Pharcyde but I listen to this song often.

the first track is called Rubber Song. It came out on a Red Hot Cool AIDS compilation or was a bside to one of the 12" singles that came from it.

I remember The Roots being on the other side with AJ Sunshines version of Proceed.

that 2nd track has to be some past labcab. i don't even know who the first guy is sounds like a fake souls mischeif rapper. Maybe it is..could be a Python outtake.Imani has the 2nd and I think 3rd verse. The first guy doesn't really sound like any of the other guys and if it is it could only be bootie brown.

bootie and imani put some shit out about 7 years ago. I'm guessing track 2 came from that.

That 4th track is funny. The beat is way different but I recognize some of the lyrics from a song on the compilation called The Lawhouse Experience. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lawhou ... Volume_One

yeah I've got that Lawhouse album, it's not the tune on there, but if the lyrics are similar maybe it's an outtake.

the beat on that 2nd tune sounds very 1996 to me, think it must be a bit older than 7yrs, you might be right though. I never heard much from that almighty mighty pythons thing, maybe 1 or 2 tracks

thanks for your help

Thanks fam. Yeah, I thought that Buckwild joint should have made the album or at least a B side instead of just the UK release.

I ripped this back in 2004, sorry about the quality. And it isn't the full vinyl as I didn't rip the instrumental or the other side with The Roots & Roy Ayers.
