all femcee posse cuts?

Post by vaporized2 »

not a massive subgenre, but worth exploring for 2 seconds maybe

Big Kap ft. Bahamadia, Precise, Tripp, Uneeq, Lauryn Hill - Da Ladies In Da House
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnVsp0M7hAY

serious beat, in fact this is a great track

Yo Yo ft.??? - Pass It On
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lgb9TI5k-OM

pretty good

think there was one on Champ MC's album might be wrong though

any more, add on. can't think of any others

dope...wasn't expecting to like that.

suppose these can be included, Deadly Venoms
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jrWJzIN ... re=related

maybe you could argue it's not really a posse cut if it's just the regular group on there, though

Other than the Total joint with Foxxy, Da Brat, and Lil' Kim and Bahamdia "Three The Hard Way" there are none worth checking for and really no reason to continue this thread.

its a must have if you're into that era of UK stuff - Task Force, Rodney P, Phi Life, Roots Manuva, Skinnyman etc
Its quite hard to come by as the label (Ronin) went bankrupt. If I ever get round to ripping my vinyl copy I'll post it. All the Skitz 12"s are worth copping aswell.

nice, thanks. that Adam F album with MOP Pharoahe Monch Redman etc on it virtually put me off all ukhh related stuff from that era, didn't like that at all really

nah, that Adam F set doesnt really sum up the early 00s UK sound at all.
between 99-04 (pre grime basically) there was a lot of good stuff around.

Yeah, that Adam F joint is no reflection on the UK scene from that period at all. 'Country Man' is a cracking album.

Six Pack and Keep On Pushin' are some great songs, I wish there was more of that type to choose from. Aside from those, I think Bahamadia's 3 The Hard Way is one of the best I've heard, if you wanna call that a posse cut, it's only 3 femcees. They shot the video near to where I grew up, at a park around 110th street on the East Side of Harlem.

What about them "Angels Wit Dirty Faces" and their "Angel's Cipher" over Mobb Deep's beat?

Was it a group? Ever released anything? I really dig their flow.

thanks, I've already got that. there are a couple of femcee dedicated blogs out there I check they were put up a while back. sexybutdeadly is one, femmeblakmuzik is another, might've spelled that wrong. dunno why but I really like female rappers

I was at a record/CD fair about 2 yrs ago and saw a compilation mix by Peanut Butter Wolf femcee mix. it was all very early stuff, like 86-90? wouldn't mind hearing that. would've bought it but I needed something else and ran out of money
