Sure, but it's a Euro release and for that, I say NO THANKS!! I would never choose a Euro release over somethin that's originally a US release. Just sayin...

They usually sound like shit and are on that rock-hard (NH) vinyl that sucks ass, too.

Nicely done. This might've not been as limited but I don't know where something previously unreleased like Ran Reed's Respect the Architect CD compilation from No Sleep at the beginning of the year would go, if anywhere. I know a couple of the tracks are post-'99 but like the title says, the majority are from '92 through '98.

So are there even any bonus songs or anything? If so, it's probably just shit that was already released. *shaking head*

yeah, im actually really disappointed with this. Sad to see they are content with just being a re-issue label for rap fans who want collectors items. Basically just doing the same thing that majors have always done with constantly re-issuing shit. Except some of the majors even put out archived shit. I can't co-sign label anymore, the smaller limiteds get much bigger respect from me because they give us what we want, not just pretty shit to put on the shelf and look at.
i understand and support rap re-issues, just sayin, for some reason i really thought these guys were gonna give us the Nas demos.

b. 4 releases marked as "PRE-ORDER" are supposedly dropping this month but there's always a chance of unexpected delay, so they're questionable

d. I'm certainly missing something so please add to / correct my list (especially the Lord Finesse stuff & the CD re-issues)
e. I separated the indie labels from the bigger ones so that we could vote for best indie label.

Ok, I'm gonna use this list to pick from to make the limited archive release vote thread from. Any add-ons, let me know. This is gonna be a pain in the balls, i respect the work you put in on this list even more.

Please don't anyone get pissy or offended if i don't include a record you like, we can't put every single one in the vote, especially all those flexis.

If another mod who is more knowledgable with the regular CD re-issues wants to get started on that poll, please do.

Maybe we could have a separate limited re-issues vote too since Architek sorted them out pretty well. An indy label of the year vote too. Bootleg of the year is the Foul Play by leaps and bounds.

Chopped Herring Records makes things happen! With one of the most popular unreleased material from the mid 90s the label finishes a great year of brilliant releases.

Here it is: Da Minds Of Sol - Suffa Da Consequences EP.

The group is from Philly and consists the two vocalist Da Organizer and Da Unforgiven plus producer Ill Produc'. In 1997 they released the sought after 12" "Binded By The Light" bw "Holocaust Part II" which are also available on this EP.

A: Ink Wars
A: Ill Type
A: Blinded By The Light
B: Elements Transform
B: Holocaust Pt. 2
B: WhoDoesHeBe

Chopped Herring is one of the greatest labels in his troy, need more options for digital buyers though please procelebritygolf.

I honestly can't afford records anymore (mortgage, fiance etc), but I can still enjoy and play the dope music on radio at home or in my headphones, so please consider digital options.

Good shit Jaz, but I wish Dope Folks would focus more on unreleased stuff rather then always reissuing shit that's already out there. Whatever though...

And yo Jaz, good luck gettin Chopped Herring to do some digital releases. You know you find all the CH releases uploaded on blogs though. Don't even front! haha I'm happy that there's a label like Chopped Herring who's not only one of the best labels, but they're also a label who doesn't seem to give a shit about the non-vinyl folks. I mean, to me, anyone who's down with Hiphop should also be down with vinyl. I know you have a vinyl collection Jaz, but how is anyone else gonna be into Hiphop and not own vinyl? Just sayin...

haha yeah yeah I know your thoughts but my point is I am happy to pay for shit, I buy stuff from Bandcamp and Juno frequently, times and technologies change man, I don't buy into the adage that Real DJ's use vinyl...NO!!! Real DJ's can rock a fucking party or a gig with an old tape deck, CD's, Serato, Vinyl (I can and have done all) or whatever they need to do...fuck those elitist snobby ass nerd dicks that just brag about shit they have and it just sits on a shelf collecting dust, what's the point?
