Took me like two weeks to get the CD, but you'll get it eventually. No worries!
Is the cd pressed? Or burn?
It's a proper pressed cd release.
Verge, thanks for the info on BENEFICENCE, I liked the tracks, maybe I'll cop when I find some cash.
I copped that Common reissue, too, Ghostface's Ironman comes next :)

Anybody ever seen a rip of the OC O-Zone Originals EP?

My copy has been received last week, two days after my amp conked out. And I can't wait to listen to it since I loved the snippets.

Today, finally an extremely ill one was announced:

SIDE A.

1. OUTSIDERS [Buckwild]
2. WOULD YOU BELIEVE? [Buckwild]
3. KICK A RHYME FOR THE RECORD [Mark Pearson / John Mcgann]
4. STRETCH AND BOBBITO PROMO (intro by MC Serch) [Eclipse]

SIDE B.

5. BROTHERS ARE FAKE [Mark Pearson / John Mcgann]
6. THAT BAD MOTHERFUCKER [Eclipse]
7. SUGAR [Buckwild]

All tracks recorded in 1993.

SNIPPETS of all tracks on the EP can be heard here:

SENDSPACE LINK (for download)

NOTE:
After any talk about this OC jawn, then maybe I'll merge, delete, or copy and paste the other threads on the more recent limited/re-issued releases into this thread. Or maybe I'll just let them fall into the obscurity of our back pages.

What a damn shame a DL link for this has never hit the internet.

Not everyone has 50 bones to blow on a piece of vinyl, and then again the majority of people on this board probably don't even own a turntable.

Good music should always be heard..Even if you have to downnload because it's too rare or to expensive.

And i could be wrong but isn't this O.C. ep sold out?

Sons Of Sam - Oooh He Got An Afro Re-Release

Post by rt7 »

New label "Promo-Only" offers Sons Of Sam street wear. As a promotional bonus you get a Sons Of Sam - Oooh He Got An Afro 12inch re-release (official) including 2 unreleased tracks.

Charisma Instrumental
Rising Son

Sound quality is dope, nice numbered sticker on that white label 12.

I dunno, 50 euros is type steep for a 12" and a tee shirt. Eh, if I had disposable income, I'd probably cop. Would love to hear that unreleased sos joint. And, tbh, I never really dug "ooh he got an afro" or "charisma" but the alternate versions are great, imo.
Anyone gotta link to the bonus 45 that they were on?

Anyways, here's a link to Dope Folks records, where they're putting out their second $20 EP, this time Stranj Child out of Milwaukee:
http://dopefolksrecords.bigcartel.com/p ... hip-hop-ep
snippets and maaaad info and goodies over here by kev beacham:
http://fifthelementonline.com/blog/albu ... olks-2010/

Also, in November we have MF DOOM's Special Herbs Box Set. This time full beats, unmixed, 10 bonus beats, 10 pieces of vinyl all in silver sleeves, a poster, a bonus 45..mad shit. Price is type steep at about $90 but, shit, you're getting so much bang for the buck compared to previous limited ePs. Pause.
this happens to be another broke season for me so hopefully I can find a way to grab this one:

thanks filthyrich

and as a nod to this site, which hosts a heap of goodness, here's another rip-link on hotfile [its more about the site really, so much goodness - I wasnt even aware that a re-issue of Straight Out the Jungle was on the cards]

Ok so its not a re-issue or even a limited release. It's new material from these guys and a lot of it sounds like the 90s and if you were ever a fan of either of these guys, you'll like this.
I think it's decent at least. I'll have to give it another listen.

$25, 8 songs, 300 vinyls but if there is demand they will press more up.

The YZ? Isn't he (partially) deaf or somethin'? I saw that D-Nice interview where he said that he can't hear without hearing aid...

Yeah, that's right, I forgot about that. Well, he didn't talk funny or anything in that video so I guess he could still drop some verses. I'm guessing he could have just emailed the verse to them or if he was in the studio, they probably had to make a specific time for him where they could lower everything? Lol, I dunno.

Any chance anyone could re-up the OC EP?... I can't get the link to work... is it just me?

On topic, I just copped a re-issue of Hell Up In Newark by Govna Matic from Sandbox. Cool, even just for Family Day.

Old stuff. This album was released in the early 2000s, it was distributed by Traffic, I guess. The Extra P version of Hellavision is nice, though. If you never heard it, check this: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J0QXGFFF

^Thanks, TBS! Yeah, they must have killed my link as soon as it went up on the new blog.

I remember seeing this in Fat Beats in the early 2000's and I thought it was a funny mistitled bootleg. Did not realize there was any extras on it. Thanks guys.

I just bought this new reprint of the East of the Rock EP from the Molemen on eBay for $9.99...

http://www.discogs.com/East-Of-The-Rock ... se/2599501

Very reasonable price for such a good record IMO.
