Yeah, I'm guessing it's this same guy who was trying to sell the same tape on ebay a while ago for some absurd price. Well, if you don't wanna worry about being outbid, you can just use the "buy it now" option for $150,000, hahaa, gtfo.
Really though, you can ask for some sound samples, never know.

OZONE ORIGINALS PART 2

Post by Andyman187 »

O.C. (D.I.T.C.) ג€“ ג€œOZONE ORIGINALS PART 2ג€ EP [NSREP-004] LIMITED RELEASE!!
[Sealed / Sticker cover / 175 quantity mail order]

Peace vinyl collecting world! The wait is finally over!!! No Sleep Recordings wraps up its second series with our latest release from none other then the phenomenon O.C! As announced earlier, this is the companion record to our first ג€œOzone Originalsג€ EP and like its predecessor; it does not disappoint the faithful! I want to thank everyone that has supported this series. We are at our fifth / final release in this series, and that means giveaway time to all those that have kept upג€¦..Details below.

This EP is a mixed bag of unreleased joints spanning from pre-ג€œWordג€¦Lifeג€ to ג€œJewelzג€. Again we managed to find some vintage bangers. With production handled by Buckwild, DJ Ogee, and Da Beatminerz, this is absolutely essential to anyone that has followed O.C.ג€™s career. Not too much I can say about this; just straight up dope unreleased gems from one of the greatest lyricists ever, working with some of the best producers of the mid-90s. D.I.T.C. from this era never disappoints and it is again an honor to finally unearth these tracks. Enjoy. Song titles, creation / production details, and snippets are below.

As with our last four releases, we have made some changes to improve on how we release these records. First, this is already in stock (and sounds great) and all packages will ship in bulk on Tuesday or Wednesday of the week of May 9th, 2011. So there isnג€™t an extended wait time after processing your payment. Also, as you know, we are trying to reduce prices on these types of releases as much as possible going forward. This greatly depends on the deals we make with the artists, but this particular EP will retail for only $50 plus S&H. Even though this series is over, No Sleep is coming back very soon with some serious HEAT on vinyl. New announcements coming shortlyג€¦.

The giveway. We will announce it next Monday the 2nd to all those who qualify. I am not expecting for there to be more then 75 to 100 of these shipped out, which will make it a VERY rare record. If you liked ג€œOzone Originalsג€ 1 and 2, I am sure you will love it ;-) As the sale goes on, I will communicate with the customers that qualify as I invoice them. Like last time, the bonus records are EXACTLY commensurate to the number of copies of each title purchased (i.e. 2 copies each of all 5 records = 2 bonus records). This record is not for sale. You must have supported the full 5 records in this series (and purchased them directly from ME) to obtain a copy. If you are missing a title or two, hit me as I have a couple personal spares of one or two of these titles. But that is a handful at best, and will not help too many people. But if you are quick, I might have a chumpie for you! To everyone that kept up, THANK YOU. Thank you for believing in this series and being so positive throughout the journey. This bonus is something a lot of people asked me to get, so I think you will be well pleased with the reward! Stay tuned!

******The only difference between last time and this is that I cannot cover the additional postage (which is $2 each extra record in a package). When the records were $80, I was able to absorb the extra postage on the strength, but with the manufacturing and licensing prices of two records, I simply canג€™t afford it this time. I make nothing on the shipping, btw, but it is the only expense for the bonus records that you must cover. I am sure most of you understand, but I am still saying it up front so there is no confusion******

Best,

James ג€œDLג€ / NSR

Yah! the same sample Kenny Dope used for Freestyle Thing by the Roughneck Soldiers!!

I missed the first Godfather Don release as I got in when Nick Wiz's Cellar Sounds dropped. Lucky enough this morning I was able to get one of James's last 3 copies of the GFD EP which qualifies me for the free bonus EP for buying all 5 releases!!

Exactly the O.C. stuff I always hoped to get on vinyl:

O.C. ג€œO-Zone Extrasג€ EP [NSRBNS-01]

The ג€œO-Zone Extrasג€ EP is a two sided affairג€¦

On the A-Side are the original home-studio 4-Track demos of ג€œStep Into The O-Zoneג€, ג€œStay Aliveג€, and ג€œVisual Pictureג€ that O.C. recorded with a high school classmate / producer (Kemp) shortly before he appeared on ג€œFudge Pudgeג€ג€¦.Famous for being played on the Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito show, these are mastered from the original tapes and are in their full lengths. The last track is a rare Page The Hand Grenade and OC demo, that Buckwild producedג€¦.

The B-Side is a collection of alternative and original versions of several ג€œWordג€¦Lifeג€ songs. The original mix of ג€œNo Main Topicג€ is interesting because both O.C.ג€™s famously-quieted vocals and Prince Poetryג€™s ultimately-muted adlib track are prominent in this version. Next, the original version of ג€œStoryג€ has a markedly different hook, utilizing chaotic crowd noises instead of the whispery, repeating ג€œbelieve it or notג€ lyrics on the final version. Last, is one of the several remixes of ג€œBorn To Liveג€. This particular version is similar to the bonus cut on the ג€œWordג€¦Lifeג€ CD, but features a heavier bassline that was absent from the final, more-sparsely arranged CD version.

NSRBNS-01

O.C. - ג€œO-Zone Extrasג€ EP

Side A. (Demos)

1. ג€œVisual Pictureג€ [Kemp] *
2. ג€œStep Into The O-Zoneג€ (Original Version) [Kemp] **
3. ג€œStay Aliveג€ [Kemp] **
4. ג€œWeak Ideasג€ feat. Page The Hand Grenade [Buckwild] +

* Recorded in 1992
** Recorded in 1991
++Recorded in 1995

Side B. (Word...Life Sessions)

5. ג€œNo Main Topicג€ (Original Mix) [DJ Ogee] +
6. ג€œStoryג€(Original Mix) feat. Prince Po [DJ Ogee] +
7. ג€œBorn To Liveג€ Remix (Alternate Mix) [Organized Konfusion] +

****100 copy pressing, which arrived with a total of 113 pieces. 95 copies were spoken for in this contest (more then expected). The remainder of the copies going to this releaseג€™s contributing partiesג€¦So there will be less then 100 copies of this ever in circulation***

Amazing - words can't describe how dope this is. "Visual Picture" is pretty much my all-time favorite O.C. track aside from "Time's Up".

So that's what it's called. I posted a really horrible radio rip some time ago.

So Weak Ideas, Visual Picture, Stay Alive, it's all here! Finally...

They probably should have switched the two EP titles cause this bonus EP is way more of a companion piece to the Part one demos than the Part 2 EP is.
Not complaining though, they're both very dope. No Sleep does it again.

Large Pro... Something off "The LP". Sunrise in my eyes, time flies, pick a book up and read, now I'm wise..
I think it was finally officially titled "Large Pro:Verbs".

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read the second sentence. Not sure on what the og is but I'd like to know too.

People overseas got there's but I'm not sure about US yet. They pushed back the "yet to be revealed" 1993 EP to release this Bronson/Meyhem Lauren/Shaz Illyork EP:
<object width="480" height="290"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9sm_vFYta0A?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9sm_vFYta0A?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="290" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

I like it, it's cool, though I was kinda hoping to find out what the 93 EP was gonna be this week. Hopefully soon.

I copped both o-zone records but I'm not set up to transfer from vinyl to mp3, and I really want it on my ipod. If anyone coule PM me vol.2 that would be awesome.

A CD release of all the tracks on both volumes and the bonus record would be great, but no doubt some of the collectors would be pissed.
