A little surprised no one's mentioned this. The beat is a bit funky, but Shyheim's lyrics are heartbreaking.

Also surprised this hasn't been mentioned. Po's verse is somewhat uplifting, but Monche is pretty dark here. The lyrics, bleak xlyophone sample and eerie singing make this one of my favorite tracks in all of Hip Hop.

Nore had plenty going for him on The War Report, but at the end of Illegal Life he goes off, I wish he had another full verse in that mode.

Young Niggaz & Only God Can Judge Me are my favorite Pac songs, plus YG is dedicated to an executed 11 year old gang banger Robert "Yummy" Sandifer which makes it a pretty depressin' song, imo.
