Sah-B Album on Reprise

Post by kevin beacham »

Question for the peoples, is the Sah-B album out there on the internets? or is it a "lost treasure"?? I did a search and didn't see it but maybe my google game is hurting

wow, didn't even know Sah-B ever recorded an album... was this in the mid-'90s?? the only thing i've heard here from are that 12" that had the K-Def track which is incredible.

lol damn i've been sleeping, had no clue neither Kamakazee or Sah-B were supposed to release albums and even promo copies were sent out. any word on who was to produce these joints, I woul imagine alot of Marley Marl beats on the Marley joint, and anyone knows if there's more K-Def beats on the unreleased Sah-B album.

She was great on the LOTUG and De 1 joints, but her 'Summa Day' / 'Some Ol' Sah-B Shit' 12" wasn't all that.

That said, I'd be keen to hear her full length.

OK, sorry for the slow reaction but I finally posted up a blog about the album, complete songs to hear and a full download. I also plugged and linked philaflava in there as well. enjoy:

THX - good review

Imagine what the rumored Kamakazee 90ies album sounds like.

Track 6 is interesting musically, but listen for yourself.

Thanks Kev. Not a fan of the girls on the mic either but I been wanting to peep this for the production for a while now. I really hope that Kamakazee shit surfaces eventually.

Just gave it a listen and so far i'm digging "That's How It Is In showbiz" and "Unorthodox" the most. Sounds like K Def did most or all of the album but I couldn't really bump my speakers so I'll have to give it a REAL listen tomorrow. Thanks again Kev. I know of a couple of people who have been looking for this shit for a long time, I'm sure they'll appreciate it too.

Here's some other related info Werner just posted:

Not to take any shine off it because its always cool when shelved albums are made available but Im pretty sure not many people wouldve cared about this if it had come out back in 94-95 which is probably why it didnt get a full release. I know K-Def got beats but considering what it wouldve been up against back then I dont think many people woudve checked for it.

The Kamakaze album on the other hand has to be amazing.
