It's been a pleasure, hopefully you'll enjoy too.

*Bolds are referring to the rules
**Definition of major / independent label isn't clear enough to me, i guess Def Jam, Death Row & Sony are considered to be major ones
***No Mizell Bros sample unfortunately, had a couple in mind but couldn't fit them
Oh shit... this is soooooo dope. Major props, Architek.

Nice work...That Schoolly D joint is rugged! I used to spin that for freestyle sessions and emcees would go bananas. I had unsuccessfully tried to find it online many times. Props for including it here. :phila:

Well, I gave it a shot, hope at the very least that someone enjoys it and finds at least one track they like that they never heard before.

Props to the other contestants. This shit was no joke.

FTR, I did put most of the tracks through audacity to amplify them and try to have them all be at a similar sound level so most of them say 320 when they might not actually be that. My lame encoder outputs at 320 so yeah, thats why. For those with dj wicked type standards, yes some tracks here came ripped straight from my own vinyl, not a lot though.
Listened to this on my way from Austin to San Antonio and back today. Another awesome selection of instrumentals. This contest was tremendous... I just wish more folks entered. I would have, but I'm not very qualified to do so.

Organized Noize were on a roll at that time. i like 90 RnB in general and think there was some great prodcution involved back then. i could easily imagine Goodie Mobb, Pharcyde or even the Roots from that era on the beat.
