Nice work Versive, I'll peep the mix tonight. I was trying to choose some more songs for Volume II and maybe come up with a cover for the mixes, but I've been too busy lately. I'll try to see what I can come up with tomorrow on my day off.
Echo Leader- PM with anything you think should be included that hasn't been mentioned. If I expand the MC list, it shouldn't be a problem to come up with a good list on my own though. Let me know.

Alright, I'm going to throw it up on the T.R.O.Y. blog within the next few days, so get at me about that cover. Like I said, there are some jpegs in that folder that you can fuck with.

OK, I got the Vol. 2 playlist tagged and ready to go. Was gonna include secondary Czars and friends, but realized I had more than enough to create a proper Vol. 2 with only original Czars. There's plenty of non-original Czars and friends featured, but every track contains a verse by at least 1 original Czar. I'll try to get all this zipped by tomorrow so you can peep it Versive and see if the cover I made will work. I just used one of your pictures and slapped a title on it, I'm sure someone could make a better one.
I could try to come up with a little write up for it too, but I might need a little more time for that.

Shit is up along with a little write-up I put together, which includes some informative hyperlinks for anyone who's interested (mostly discogs pages, but a few long-form interviews and label links as well). http://www.thetroyblog.com/2012/05/18/m ... and-vol-1/

I also want to sit down and compose the essay I alluded to in the first write-up.
...one could go on and on about the sociopolitcal subtext of Japenese monster movies and how it translates to rap music and hip-hop culture as a whole, but let’s save that for another post… maybe.
Anybody here have any ideas as to exactly which movies I should be looking at -- i.e. which movies are best suited to the above analysis, and which M.I.C. specifically sampled?

Anyone have any info on any of these guys putting out music lately? Not together obviously...but as solo artists....
Been waiting on another Tommy Gunn album for a minute....

Not sure if Tommy Gunn is still recording music, but I found these videos of him walking around Long Beach freestyling:
