Check out this blog post for a little more info on the tape. Some of the dudes on the tape show up in the comments section, one of them (Messy) even throws up some links to a long-neglected blog and MySpace page.

For what it's worth, other than this post, I haven't been able to find any information about Nitrous Ox or the self-titled tape anywhere on the 'netz. Which is a shame, because it is truly some dope shit.

i think this was taken from the atak store that sold this tape but could have been from foolblown. " Long before Math (famous for his production with Anticon) was Math, he was Agent Orange of the mighty Nitrous Ox crew! Back then he was still making dope beats plus he was apretty fresh emcee, too. During this time, this fabuloustape from the thick Pacifica, CA crew was created with 11 tightly produced tracks featuring 5 total MC's and a lovely vocalist. Strong lyrics and dope beats define this as underground hip hop at its best"

from what i remember, this was very typical la2thebay type stuff and doesn't really sound like your run of the mill west coast stuff or boom bappish. i think i'd compare it to pre 2000 anticon before they went all indie rock, tommy v, dave dub...stuff like that.

That's dope. In that ROBME post I linked to above, Luke Sick describes the tape as having heavy "Remain Anonymous"-vibes; kind of this dark, "Illuminati rap" piece.
