Up until today I was only aware of 2 versions of 'No Airplay'. The one on the 'Mr Smith' LP which is censored, and the uncensored 'dirty funky raw version' on this ultra rare promo 12". Going through some records this evening I came across this bootleg which features a 3rd version with different lyrics and a different beat.
And I have that "ultra rare promo 12-inch" with the dirty funky raw version and that's the best version.

Thanks Stepone, I'm gonna have to pick up one of those boots. I always wondered where this Remix was from when I first heard it on a Mastermind Mixtape back in the day..
I've had that 12" sitting on the shelf for about 2 years but never really clicked it was a different version on there for some reason.
I think actually prefer this to the LP version.

I think alot of it is on that 'Double L Cools Down' LP but maybe there's a few more bits in the vaults.
Unfortunately he probably doesnt need the money so whether it'd ever the light of day is doubtful unless one of the producers (K Def?) puts it out there

I got this off a blog (maybe Phil Most Chill?) a few years ago. Quality isn't too bad

you guys are the best... i love "No Airplay", such a raw track.. it made absolutely no sense that it got censored on the album.
btw, "Mr. Smith" is an underrated LP in LL's catalouge, to me its LL's last truly great album... "GOAT" had its moments, but it can't compete
