I'm putting together a dead prez early years compilation, it will only be 10 tracks - the ones they released beteween 1997 and early 2000. since i've managed to lose all my files a while back i have still managed to find one of my favorites - "Cop Shot" in a higer bitrate than 128 kbps. i know i used to have a real hood HQ rip of it so if anyone got it please hook me up, it wold be super appreciated

and the alternate version of Happiness with the better drums.. it's on their "Red Tape" promo tape, not sure if the mp3 is out there. I have the tape but no way to rip right now.

also, be nice if this video surfaces in better quality one day, it's basically snippets of the red tape but with visuals

thanks Verge, I would love to include some of that stuff but as you say unforutnately the quality is a little too weak.. it would be better to drop em as two separate releases,
what i got for this compilation is every official record releases between 1997 and 2000 ("Game Of Life"; "Cop Shot"; "Sellin' Dope"; "U R Ripping Us Apart" (thinking about ditching this tho, we'll see), "Food Clothes & Shelter", that Lord Jamar "Blueanova" remix and two of their early guest features). i think it would be better to drop "Red Tape" on a later event as a separte "release", i used to have it but like i said my files went out the window so if you have a chance to upload them for me it would be greatly appreciated as always!!

Here's a web compilation that used to be around years ago, it contains Cop Shot at 192, tape versions of Happiness & Food, Clothes, Shelter plus 13 more tracks. Quality varies. These Are The Times is in there too, a definite banger, its beat reminds me of Pictures Of Life by Othorized Fam.
