Last night in New York at a private event for El-P’s & Killer Mike’s “Run The Jewels” 2 album, Mass Appeal Records president, Nasir Jones aka Nasty Nas aka Nas, came thru to support the dynamic duo. In the process, he previewed his first single from his upcoming album. The song is called “Seasons” that is produced by none other than the G.O.D….the late great J Dilla! (Nas used the Gobstopper beat from Donuts). Even though we know that Nas was originally supposed to be on J Dilla-produced song with Notorious B.I.G. & Busta Rhymes in the 90′s, this is something that is long overdue and it’s good to hear Nas over a Dilla beat. Dilla would be smiling right now.
