hard to say, i guess black moon on other days it could be Daily Operation, Bulhoone Mindstate, In God we Trust, Bizarre Ride or Stunts Blunts too many of them are really great.

not a fan of Onyx personally

20 years ago it would haVe been Enta Da Stage, 5 years after that it would have been Bizarre Ride. Then 10 years after that it would have been Bacdafucup. Now it is "In God We Trust".

For me it's the opposite. Went with the cyde. My opinions on things like this change when the wind blows though.

I can't look past 'Stunts, Blunts & Hip Hop' - for me that ranks as top 5 all time.

I'm a big fan of the other albums listed, but would struggle to call 2nd between the Black Moon and GangStarr record

tie between Predator & In God We Trust. Bought them when they came out and still give them regular listens (just copped a new CD copy of Predator today actually)

Didn't hear all of Stunts & Blunts until a few years after it dropped which can definitely hinder appreciation of something imo
Black Moon - I love the singles but cant really listen to it as an album
Daily Operation is probably my least played Gang Starr album (again, possibly because I got it a few years after it came out)

3. black moon high points are better than anything on the list but for a classic album there is some borderline weak shit on that record

2. diamond put too many songs on his record otherwise it might be a top 5 all time album for me also the interludes were horrible

1. pharcyde had a lot of songs as well but they pulled it off and every single one of them was dope....very rare for a long album...furthermore the skits had beats that pretty much every other rap group ever would have given ten years off their life to have had behind just one of their singles

Enta Da Stage, Stunts, Blunts & Hip-Hop, Daily Operation, No Need For Alarm and The Predator are the ones that still get regular play from me. Tough choice, but I think I go with, yup, you guessed it.

I actually agree with Bent, here, you kinda have to give it to Pharcyde, as that album is a front to back production masterpiece with some of the most original flows and hilarious concepts around. It is, for all intents and purposes, what Buhloone Mind State would have been if Prince Paul was given total control over the whole project plus a lot of cocaine.

Buhloone Mind State, incidentally, is a very close #2. Beautiful album. My only gripe is that it starts off kind of uneventfully.

You're mixing it up with AmeriKKKa's Most.

Sounds better than ever.

I never listen to any of the old Cube albums a lot these days, but when I do, AmeriKKKa's always ends up feeling the most authentic & classic.

Daily Operation is my favorite Gang Starr album and takes this for me pretty easily. Love a lot of the others, but 21 & Over might be #2. Both albums are great front to back.

the songs are incredible but the sound level on daily operation is unacceptable and completely annoying
