Gangstarr Foundation World Tour 2016

Post by bad-cop »

I was lucky enough to see Gangstarr Foundation perform live last week while holidaying in Skopje, Macedonia as part of their 2016 world tour.

The line-up featured Afu-ra, Big Shug and Jeru.

World tour sounds grand, but you can see it was done on a budget.

Never the less, the performance was amazing. All MCs gave 100% and I have to say Afu is great at getting the crowed going.

The set featured mainly classic tracks from their back catalogues, with a few newer cuts. I also managed to speak to all three of them; really nice and down to earth guys.

They will be performing in Liverpool 14, Edinburgh 13 and Glasgow 15 Apr; I highly recommend to see them if you have the chance.

Cool, always wanted to see Jeru live.

Any idea if Solar is involved with this?

Don't know, but don't think so. It was very much back to basics in terms of organisation etc.

Why the hell would Solar have ANYTHING to do with Gang Starr or Gang Starr Foundation??? They would probably kill that fuckin scumbag!!

It's too bad Bumpy Knuckles and M.O.P aren't also on the tour. Was DJ Premier there too?

No Premo in sight. Probably too busy with other stuff.

I asked Shug about Group Home, but no chance since they aren't together...

really memorable night though
