Nas - Street Dreams (all verses)

Post by djfilthyrich »

I was adding some tracks to the Nas "It Was Written" album, and I did this little edit that I thought some of you might want.
I ripped the original Street Dreams from my CD as a .WAV file, and added in the 'Bonus verse' from the Street Dreams that's found on the CD single (I only had the bonus verse in mp3 form, so unfortunately the last verse is re-compressed back into an mp3....I re-encoded it back into 320 though so it's not that noticeable).

If anyone has Nas "One On One" in 320 from the Street Fighter soundtrack, or a decent rip of "On The Real" (the dirty version with Cormega and Kamikaze), I'd appreciate a link. I'd love to add those to the album as well (I have a crappy 192 rip of One On One)

Here you go guys...

nice, thanks! Not sure if anything other than vinyl rips have ever been around of the correct On the Real joint. What about the one that was on that 10th Anniversary reissue of Illmatic? I don't remember if that was yet another slightly different version

No prob Verge. The version on the 10th Anniversary joint was just Nas solo, and didn't sound as raw as the original version... I was hoping maybe somebody had a decent rip from the vinyl bootleg

I've got the Underground Buttas 12" of On The Real. Quality isn't amazing but I think that was the best pressing. Pretty sure the track wasn't really finished as far as the final mixdown and mastering went Always thought that added to it really. The revocalled version on the Illmatic anniversary release is terrible.

If you have the time to rip a WAV file, it'd be much appreciated. I agree, the re-recorded vocal lacked the rawness of the original, and I hate that they changed the chorus up a bit on the remake
