Jay-Z "Hova Song" (all 3 verses)

Post by djfilthyrich »

I was going through my old Jay-Z "Life and Times Vol.3" folder, and came across this splice I did of 'The Hova Song Intro', 'The Hova Song Interlude', and the 'Hova Song Outro'. I may be wrong, but I don't think the Hova song interlude appeared on the U.S. version of the album. Thought some people might want to have this. It's only encoded at 192 kbps, but it was spliced from the CD source WAV files.

Good looks on this!

This inspired me to look up on Amazon.co.uk how much it would be to import the European version just to have it with the original tracklist. For a new copy, including shipping, it comes out to just $8.00 American. Seriously considering it.
Check out my FREE album featuring MAC LETHAL, ALASKA from HANGAR 18, HOMEBOY SANDMAN and J57 of the BROWN BAG ALL STARS -

No prob man.
Our homie Lescratch uploaded the European version for us:

Here's some more info according to Wikipedia:

The UK/Europe edition of the album (which was released several weeks before the US edition) features an alternate track listing. "Hova Interlude" replaced the track "Watch Me" and "There's Been a Murder" was replaced with "Is That Yo Bitch" (featuring Missy Elliott and Twista). "Is That Yo Bitch" is an alternate version of Memphis Bleek's "Is That Your Chick". It also has "Anything" as the closing song (track 16) before the two hidden bonus tracks. This version is how the album was really intended to sound, but due to heavy bootlegging of the promotional copy, Jay-Z went back and changed the track listing for the North America release at the eleventh hour.

Thanks for uploading Rich.

Was there ever a dirty version of the Big Pimpin' video version with Jay's extra verse? I don't think I've ever heard a dirty version of that and was always curious about that.

No prob Cairo.
Not that I know of. Do you happen to have the clean version with the extra verse? If so, maybe I can splice the extra verse onto the end of the dirty version from the CD

Here's the version with the extra verse. I think there is a slight glitch or skip in it at the very end. Maybe you can work around that or fix it.

On another note....does anyone know if "Hey Papi" was recorded around the "Vol. 3..." sessions? I'm sure the liner notes or an Internet may clear that up. I know it was on The Nutty Professor II Soundtrack, but there being two version of the song (released and solo), I always thought maybe it was recorded around the time (or shortly after?) the other album songs.

Ok, I took the WAV file of the dirty original version from my CD, spliced in the version you just posted with the extra verse, and removed the skip at the end. each version was EQ'd differently, so it's not perfect, but it'll do for now I guess.

Here you go...

Big Pimpin' (ft UGK) [Explicit with extra Jay-Z verse]
