I finally got around to listening to this yesterday and I gotta say, what a GREAT Episode! From the music (except the opening OutKast song) to the discussions of what year was the most golden (aka your most favorite) to the guilty pleasures.

Anyways, it's always a toss up between 1988, 1993 and 1994 for me regarding which year is my favorite and what I consider to be the most golden. I got into HipHop in '84 when I was 10, but late '87/early '88 when I was 13 is when I got really serious about HipHop where it became my life. I turned 14 in May of '88. But yeah, 1988 is mos definitely the most IMPORTANT and GREATEST year in HipHop history! But again, as far as my favorite year, it's always a toss up between '88, '93 and '94. And I fully agree with what dude said about 1993 bein the year where they perfected what 1988 started. And what the other dude said, I do go back to 1993 and 1994 a lot more then I do 1988. I will say though, in general, 1988-1996 is my favorite time frame in HipHop history. *shrugs*

As for guilty pleasures, it's gotta be Juvenile "Back Dat Azz Up" from 1999 for me. I literally can't stand anything Cash Money related, but I dunno, there's just somethin about that damn song. haha I guess Cam'ron "Hey Ma" from 2002 is another guilty pleasure. Both songs are pretty embarrassing for me to admit liking. I will say that I do NOT own either song on vinyl and I could never actually spin either one. haha

Glad you enjoyed and that you are a fan of Juvenile. Never diss on me for liking some "nerd rap" again though.

Hahahaha!!! It's ONE song and it's not like I've ever actually chosen to play it either. *shrugs*
