Spotify is great but has a lot of gaps in their catalog and they are missing several classic hip hop albums.

Here's some stuff that has become available recently:

Ironically I was thinking the same thing this am because they don't have The Chronic either. They do have a good catalog in general and even some less popular/obscure Hip Hop that I wouldn't expect them to have. But there are some glaring omissions as well.

Yeah they're missing a lot in terms of Golden Era Hip Hop, but I'm pleased to have found some gems on there that I never heard otherwise. I sometimes @ Spotify on Twitter to remind them of songs that are missing from their collection.

Know any Spotify users worth following for their playlists? I find that most user created playlists leave a lot to be desired (unfocused, uninspired, random collections of tracks with too many cliche/overexposed songs, etc.)

Yeah, plenty of your favorite artists and record labels host their own playlists on there. Q-Tip is one who's heavy on Spotify. I discovered a cool playlist of all Soul music curated by Ghostface Killah himself. Check out R.A. The Rugged Man, B-Real and more.
