Spectrum (pre-Public Enemy) NBC/Funky Revolution acetates

So most of us probably know about Spectrum City's Lies/Check Out the Radio single from 1984. However, recently, a few acetate recordings by Spectrum (the original name of the crew, pre-Spectrum City) appeared on Soundcloud. Here they are:

These are straight-up funk with some very early hip-hop vocals in the mix (on Funky Revolution), so don't expect much in terms of rapping or anything close to Public Enemy, but they're definitely worth checking out if only for the history. I don't have an exact date for them, but I suspect they're probably from 1982.
