one of my favorites, R.I.P

i'm not sure if he ever dropped a solo album, in fact i don't think he did but if so i'd be incredibly interested to hear it. you may or not have heard this:

it's the last track he recorded before he died of cancer, called "One Life" featuring Last Emperor. listening to it gives me fuckin goosebumps, check it out.

His album got shelved, hence the beef with Tommy that united him with RZA and Prince Paul. RIP, doggy.

Poetic is a personal favorite of mine and if there was one rapper i wish was still alive it would be him. yea, even over 2pac, biggie, eazy, or pun. i thing was one of the most solid overall mc's in the game, he just never got the shine others did. he proved that he could be hilarious, gruesom, and intelligent and often all of these in just one song. also, if you want to hear him break out with an amazing flow look no farther then zigzag chamber of the third gravediggaz where he and frukwan (another overlooked favorite) destroy a track with amazing displays of lyrics and flow. definite in my top 5 underated ever.

I really wish that last Gravediggaz album was his solo...

because he totally ripped every track, and Frukwan has always been mad average.

but, yeah...definitely one of the most underrated ever.

i think frukwans lost it on his solo albums (life and 6 feet under) but i felt when he rapped with poetic he was in top form

This Last Emperor track, especially Poetic's verse has been on repeat for me all day. It's effected me so much that I am thinking about writing one of my essays in a series of hip hop essays (project im working on) on him. Just kind of giving him some of the shine he deserved. If anyone has any sort of comprehensive song list/discography, or knows of a way to get into contact with anyone that knew him, let me know here or PM me. I really would like to write something around him. His work with the Gravediggaz might be some of the most overlooked work in all of hip hop.
