Lord Finesse's Funky Technician is bein Re-Released..04

While Decon is just about to release the definitive version of Aceyalone's All Balls Don't Bounce, another classic album is about to get the re-release treatment. 15 years later, Lord Finesse's heavily slept on classic, The Funky Technician, will be re-released in 2004. This highly influential classic helped lay the blueprint for D.I.T.C., boasting guest shots from then unknown's DJ Premier, Diamond D, and Showbiz & A.G. The press release for the re-release reads as follows:

"Completely Re-mastered as a double album, Funky Technician sounds even better than before. And with the inclusion of extras - such as remixes by Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Madlib, Kenny Dope, Buck Wild, DJ Spinna, Lord Finesse and Large Professor along with the long awaited instrumental LP - Funky Technician - "The Remix Project" will be hard to pass by a second time."

Now pick your jaws up from off the floor. However, the part that is confusing is, what this package includes. Does this only include the album completely remixed and instrumentals for the original LP? Or does this include the original version of the LP, the remixes, AND the instrumentals. It's not clear what we are getting here, but regardless, I'm hyped. Hopefully the pack will include the original version of the LP, at least so the youngsters can play catch up.....

This was re-released on JCOR three years ago with the unreleased remixes. But, I guess this will be cool to own as well.
