i couldnt agree more. although i havent heard 'at the speed of life'. i also agree that old tash is severely underrated. tash is is one of the dopest rapper with the smallest vocabularies.

i picked up at the speed of life when it dropped, mostly because of tha alkaholiks affiliation and enhanced cd gizmo. i've never really felt that album. i also picked up westside connection that same day, and ended up playing it alot more.

every year or so i try and give at the speed of life another chance, and im still never quite impressed. its a solid album, a definate 3-3.5 mics, but it aint classic. especially considering it dropped in 1996.

the second album, more of the same. its pretty solid, and there are some great tracks, but definately not classic.

My fav favourite xzibit songs are probably

At The Speed Of Life
Papparazzi
The Foundation
Whats The Diffrence
Concrete

In that order.
At The Speed Of Life is too sick.

Appreciated.

At the Speed of Life was an incredible album; great production and lyricism at its finest (i.e. "The Foundation," "Paparazzi," "Carry the Weight"). One thing that stops me from calling it "classic" though are the atrocious guest appearances by Hurricane G. Yikes. I find myself fast forwarding her verses basically every time I listen to the handful of songs she's on...

40 Dayz & 40 Nightz was dope too.

she was on one song

i thought there were a few meaningless tracks mixed with some dope ones

At The Speed Of Life had some great production on a coupel tracks, but then you listen to the next one and the beat is garabge. Its an on and off record, but when its on that shit is hot.

I am a huge fan of both 40 Days and At The Speed...

To me At The Speed is a classic...it sounded like NOTHING coming outta cali at the time.
