He did
but so did so many other rappers from that time
Jewel T especially who sounds scarily similar to L.L.

I like some Marvellous
not a great rhymer
a better rapper than him would have tried to outshine Cash Money
but they had a real good chemistry together
and bounced off one another on tracks
"mighty hard rocker", "ugly people be quiet", "new sheriff in town" and "find an ugly woman" in particular

The way Cash Money brings in the Slick Rick "there is no competition" cut in the middle of a verse and than Marvelous spits "AS CASH CUTS GO!!" on the former..
pure genius.

or a crackhead doing a bid
that's usually the case with obscure late 80's/early 90's rappers, isn't it?

Either way,
"i like it loud"/"ride the crossfade" was a good 12".
