Listening to this after a long ass time. Damm, i forgot how dope this album was. Had some sick cuts like "me and my crew", "flavor for the non believers", "hit it from the back", "hold down the fort", and "locked down in spofford". Havoc and prodigy sound mad hungry on this.

The Large Professor "Peer Pressure" remix is crazy raw

some gems on it to be sure... the album as a whole is forgettable though...

easily eclipsed by their next three albums

yeah a good debut that has long been forgotten by the masses. but defintley worth throwing in the cd player now and then. i agree that the peer pressume remix was butters.

why exactly are you fine folks comparing 'juvenile hell' and 'hell on earth'??

i was just wondering.

zyg, the only reason you'd need 'juvenile hell' is if you're a collector, or just want to hear the early days of mobb deep.

Because Zyg was saying that the next Mobb Deep album he was going to buy was Juvenile Hell, and he said 'The Infamous' was the only Mobb Deep album he currently owns. In other words, he doesn't have 'Hell On Earth', yet he was going to make the fatal mistake of buying 'Juvenile Hell', which is not even worth buying, especially not if you don't have 'Hell On Earth' in your collection, or even 'Murda Muzik' for that matter.

I love how on "Peer Pressure" they blamed their criminal leanings to wanting to fit in at school and get girls (or at least that's what I always recalled, it's been a while since I listened to the album).

1. The Infamous...
2. Hell On Earth
3. Murda Muzik
4. H.N.I.C. (Prodigy's solo)
5. Juvenile Hell
6. Amerika's Nightmare
7. Infamy
8. Free Agents

5-8 aren't worth buying in their own right necessarily... but they each have a few bangers on them that are worth downloading
