i get physical

Post by Bring Back The Tempo »

is the best pete rock and cl smooth song.

i mean cmon..the way pr starts off the joint with scratches..how those drums come in..that nasty bassline complimented by that syrupy guitar (i think) sample..and the type of tempo thatll just break yer neck. and to think, i ain't even mention how mecca gets physical on the track.

but really doe,

discuss.

One of their dopest tracks, no doubt
a top ten pick
agree with yer points
and let's not forget the Pete Rock adlibs
"uh yeah"
"yo yo"
"check 1-2 1-2"
and, perhaps best of all, the Ric Flair "whoooooo"
BUT nowhere near my personal favorite Pete & C.L joint
i'm more a fan of "the creator", "all souled out", "mecca and the soul brother"
"skinz", "t.r.o.y"
"worldwide", "the main ingrediant"
and the relatively rare "specialize".

Man, "specialize"
i gotta go dig that out and throw it on.

first things first...the best pete and cl smooth song "not named troy"

anyway great song but not in my top 3 on main ingrediant

highly slept on and my personal all-time pete and cl cut is 'check it out' cl's best performace of his career

mabye next but def top five is 'its on you' the beat is ridiculous with dope as fuck vocal samples by pete

both these songs get no love as they are stuck at the end of a very long album that in itself is mad underrated...but both are hip-hop classics

the whole ep comes next...the worst song on that is better than anything on mecca...again not named troy

then as lex said specialize is right there as well

does every song on Main Ingredient have a scratched sample of "Just Rhymin with the Biz" on it? I guess that jawn would be the main ingredient to the main ingredient

 i'm surprised to see someone say "i got a love"...i always thought that was one of those "bad songs on great albums" tracks...

my fave on TMI="All the Places"...love that donald byrd sample..."Get On the Mic" is close
