ie Casual on fear itself>>>>>>>>>>az on everything hes ever done combined

Especially considering his debut verse on "life's a bitch"
which is one of the greatest debut verses in rap history

i mean if youre saying that lifes a bitch is better than any verse casual has ever done then i can live with that...but you cant say one verse (lob) is better than an entire classic album (fear itself)

where as im saying casual on an entire album is better than az on his entire album(s)...casual murders fear itself where as az is nice but he dont compare imo

but you could also say you have a bias towards more humble and introspective post-Native Tongues rappers

im a self confessed tribe lover yes...but i hardly show bias towards like groups...biggie ice cube and raekwon are some of my favorite mc's...beatnuts is my favorite group...ect...

c'mon - "mo' money mo' murder.." isn't classic..?
"doe or die" is also better than any Hiero album while we're at it
.

No, and no.

"Mo' money, mo' murder" could be a white label instrumental and it'd still be a classic
what's wrong with it exactly..?

While i do like "fear itself" i wouldn't go as far as calling it classic
solid rather than spectacular
neither would i call "doe or die" classic but the 7 or 8 good joints on there as good as anything that dropped in '95/'96
and the "s.o.s.a" ep is also superb
you're making it out like A.Z is/was wack and "doe or die" is some sloppy turd of an album here
i'd definately call "uncut raw" classic too.

"Doe Or Die" is enjoyable, but not that great to me. I agree with Clark, the only standout cut is "Rather Unique."

"Fear Itself" has aged very nicely IMO. Excellent emceeing, consistently fresh beats, lots of bass.

Damn
you don't even really like the other Pete Rock production "gimme yours"..?

Gettin' back on track,

Genius-life of a drug dealer (off "words from the genius"). <~~maybe.

Craig Mack-flava in ya ear + get down (off "project : funk the world").

Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz-deja vu (off whatever their album was called).

AZ's work with DJ Premier is on point.
He brought it on Affirmative Action [shined in presence only by Cormega]
On Phone Tap? Yup. Firm Biz, too.

No Need For Alarm isn't even the best cut on that album. You're In Shambles gets my vote, followed by Catch A Bad One. Then the title cut, then Wack MC's.

Legal Drug Money had some bangers on it, Renee being the pick of choice, but Get Up, Music makes me high, & even Lifestyles Of The Rich & Shameless..........
Back in '97 I witnessed "Is This The Part" make a 711 sign shake & rattle, on cassette in a car with 4 10" free air subs in the rear deck .

True Story.

"Back In The Day (Remix)" - Ahmad (album was pretty good)
"Nappy Heads (Remix)" - Fugees (album was pretty terrible)

And I'll agree that "Gimme Your's" is just as good as "Rather Unique."
