Need a little help here. In the vein of "Dear Momma", ring'em up for me here. Who has done tribute songs to Mommy, what year/album? Thanks in advance.

The Coup- Me & Jesus the Pimp In a 79 Granada Last Night
When we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.

These songs all have specific verses about moms...but not neccesarilly whole songs "dedicated" to them...

"Different Kind Of Lady"- Haystack - The Natural- 2002
"I Tried"- Geto Boys(Willie D's verse is about his Moms) -The Foundation
"Anything"- Jay-Z- and "remember them days"- beanie- "The Truth"

I would like to take a moment to make a statement:

I hate mom dedication songs.

I don't know why but anytime they are on an album, I end up hating them.
For example, most recently Kanye's "Hey mama" great beat, but i want to hate it cuz of the topic.

I think it has to do with me not sharing the same feelings these rappers have for their mothers that I have for mine.
Its far too personal to put out on record.

FUCK MOM SONGS
(except Pharcyde - Ya Mama)
