I dl'd a remix album, but it's missing (besides a few I already dl'd separately)...

1. das efx ft mobb deep - microphone master (dome cracker remix)
6. das efx - real hip hop (pmd remix)
10. das efx - freak it (remix 2)
12. das efx - freak it (remix)
14. das efx ft mobb deep - microphone master (41st side street remix)
16. das efx - freak it (remix 1)
17. das-efx - host wit da most (rappaz remix)
19. das efx - baknaffek (e-a-ski remix)
20. das efx - microphone master (jay dee remix)

I can't tell which Mic Master remix is which (except Jay's version), so I'ma just download your version, lol.

Anyone else think Solid Scheme were fucking crazy on the boards? Whatever happened to them?

Hell yeah, Solid Scheme was 2 dudes, Chris Charity, (who sadly died in 2001) and Derek Lynch.

I only found this out when I did an appreciation post for them at my blog

http://coldrockdaspot.blogspot.com/2007 ... _6980.html
and was contacted by Derek via e-mail
Thanks for the write up, you really did your homework. Thanks for taking me for a trip down memory lane. As for not seeing any photos of Solid Scheme your correct Chris and I were really on the low. We just made beats. Chris Passed away on March 9th 2001 of a suddden heart attack he was only 31That was my Dog! As for me I'm still making beats living in Los Angeles though originally from Brooklyn.-D.Lynch Solid Scheme

That Real Hip-Hop Pete Rock Remix is IMO better then the original. Absolutely love that beat.

It's a cool remix but it's not any better than the original.

Are you serious? I'd pick the remix over the original any day..

The remix is cutesy and spacey but the original is harder and sounds great in a car.

Contemporary Jeep Music :wtf:

I've just listened to both again. Production in both cases is unfuckwithable, but I still gotta give it to mr. P. Rock. For some reason I really really like it.

Never listened to either in a car though.

Damn, r.i.p. to Chris Charity. I'd love to hear some Derek Lynch beats. Also props for the links at your blog, Jaz.

And the Pete Rock remix is the only time you'll catch me saying Pete outdid Primo's version. I still love all them other Pete Rock remixes to Premo tracks, but Real Hip Hop is the only time I felt like "damn...Pete Rock > DJ Premier".

*bumps both of them anyways*

I fucked up.

I deleted my other remix album so I could make space for this one, but I forgot to move a few and they got gone as well.

I still have the Baknaffek Funk Mix (my favorite Das Efx song, probably) but I lost my Straight Out the Sewer Dub Version (not really missing it) and my Microphone Master Frankenstein Remix (which I'm now looking for).

The Frankenstein remix is off this remix album:

http://www.discogs.com/release/363057

So if anybody has that, or the whole remix album for the matter, I'd appreciate. That remix was pretty damn good.
