^dope indeed but don't know what it is

Pretentious early prog rock album but yielded at least one cool usage:

thought i just caught a crazily flipped and reworked sample but google easily proved me stupid.

here's what i thought was chopped up, especially the bass, starting at about 00:30

i thought for a minute that it was this:

but it's not, that's obviously this:

which was also used here:

^Dope Verge

I like the way this was used to be honest

I just discovered who this was, I remember it from childhood but couldn't remember the artist and I knew the Bee Gee's were involved as you can hear them or one of them in the hook.

Ok, hopefully someone can help. This is a two parter.

First, i'd like to know what sample is used at the beginning of this video, approx the first 50 seconds. It sounds like an old record loop being played over and over.

The second thing i'd like to know is that once the song begins after the 50 second mark, what is that sample used on besides this song? What i mean is that i know the original sample used is from a video game called chrono trigger. However, i'd like to know what other song has used that sample. I swear i've heard another song with that sample used before. I want to say it's something i might have heard on stretch and bobbito/cm fam a lam maybe. I'm thinking it's rawkus or eastern conference related but not certain.

That "second" sample (bassline) reminded me of Cypress Hill - boom biddy bye..
Not exactly the same, but I think they replayed the OG sample for this Dom kennedy track

Today I've been listening to Hubert Laws' Rite of Spring, and there's a little vibraphone interlude where you can hear a number of different familar samples. The most obvious is the Large Professor track with Nas, but I also caught Royal Flush's International Currency, and then there's this clip here which sounds incredibly familiar but I can't figure out what I know it from. Godfather Don maybe? It may be more than one thing. Any help?

Here's the whole clip. You'll hear the Royal Flush at 20 seconds in. Also, the part near the end when the bass comes in, I definitely recognize that too. Where's it from?

From Quincy Jones' I Never Told You (not on youtube). Any other songs with this sample? This was all I could think of.

I've seen this movie on TV a bunch of times over the last couple of months and every time I hear this play during the movie I can't help but think of how dope of a sample it would be..specifically the piano elements from 0:25-1:23..some dope strings in there too.

dope piano loop^. gets really good around 1:10. a violin kicks in, which reminded me of a portion from the last samurai score that i love.
starts around 6:15 really starts to get good around 6:45. makes me want to throw myself off a building.

God Sunz featuring Trigga Da Gambler - Headspinners (1999) is one of those dope indie releases that reminds me of being at Fat Beats. I stumbled across the sample tonight in my own physical record collection. I had the Grant Green record for a few years but somehow missed the fact that the sample was on there til now!

Sunrise, Sunset by Grant Green: http://grooveshark.com/#!/search/song?q ... %2C+Sunset from the album Shades Of Green, Besides the sample it' a very nice album to listen to overall

Possibly fam, they were also used on Beatnuts-Fluid and a few other tracks.
