so there was a sample source that was posted somewhere in TROY and people were dropping songs that used it but none of them were what i knew it from. Thanks to Debonair P for sending me the answer:
sample source i think was a japanese record. 45 King and/or K def sampled it also on one of their more recent beat albums, amongst others
so fucking beautiful. soul
Does anyone know the sample that was used in this song by Da Brat? I know its from old TV show or Movie but I can't remember what it was called, that shit is killing me right now!

One of my favorite upright bass groves in Hip Hop, the rest of the song features some beautiful singing too.

I always felt this is one of the dopest samples since I heard the song Pursesnatchaz Pt II by Onyx feat. Smoothe & Trigger back in the mid-90's.

Cool little organ loop used on an interlude from Da King & I's classic debut album.

Hello!
Does anyone know what's the main sample on the "Legal drug money" track from the Lost Boyz? I mean the self-titled one (just like the name of the album). The following discogs catalog https://www.discogs.com/Lost-Boyz-Legal" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... se/2499580 that it samples "Whispering pines" by The Crusaders, but I can't find where. Maybe on the interlude part.
On YouTube there's only the full album upload. So the total track time goes from 29m21s to 35m, but the main sample only starts at 30m50s, which is the one that I have trying to "discover".
I did a bulk-download of mp3s from an eBay seller of 70's Funk and Soul. Within many clips, I discovered the cartoonish piano sample you hear on "Flip Da Style" by Lord Finesse. I was excited when hearing it in my iTunes, this was a sound that I was always intrigued by for years.
I don't have the name of the artist, it wasn't named on the mp3. I do know that it's a cover version of the Tom Jones song "Green Grass Of Home".
