Pre-ordering games on amazon?

I just preordered GTA 4 on amazon cause i dont want to bother with the rush at stores. Does anybody kno if the games get delivered on the release date to your house or are the games shipped out on the release date from their warehouse? Any body have any experiences with preordering with them?

Ordered Burning Crusade from there. Game arrived a day earlier than its release date.

I don't know about games, but I've pre-ordered books from there with very good results. One came almost a week before the official release date.







So what if I pre-ordered Harry Potter?
