New Super Mario Bros. Wii
...has been leaked for a couple of days. Apparently you need to hack the iso to play it (it has new copy protection which causes the game to crash after a few minutes of play). Played the first two levels yesterday, shit was dope. Should be playing more tonight once I get the hack applied.

No, not really, especially if you haven't upgraded the firmware to 4.2. All you need to do is get the Homebrew Channel installed and there are various loaders you can use to boot games. You can even just store ISOs on an external hard drive and use a USB loader to boot them direct from there, which is pretty cool.Philaflava wrote:is it hard to hack your wii?

Yeah I wish I wouldn't have updated to 4.2. I have homebrew installed but am having trouble finding a good loader. tried neogamma but haven't been able to run it yet.Sigma wrote:No, not really, especially if you haven't upgraded the firmware to 4.2. There is no such thing. The game has copy protection built in that must be bypassed. If you use the right loader like already mentioned, the game will work just fine.SYM wrote:yeah but i guess i failed to clarify that i was looking forward to a non-crashing, more-than-two-level version.Hush wrote:Did you read the first post?SYM wrote:let me know when this gets leaked, i got the r4 revolution usb so i can finally put it to use.

Understood, thanks for the tips. Clearly not well versed in these matters but certainly willing to learn.Hush wrote:There is no such thing. So unfortunately, I have run into some unforeseen troubles with playing the game directly from SD card / USB. I know it is possible, but you have to jump through some hoops and by that time, you might as well just go ahead and fully softmod your Wii. If you're up to it you can use the guide above and I can help if needed. Sorry Phila.
