How to stream media through your game system

Thought I'd pass along this sweet article on Gizmodo I saw the other day. Really easy steps on how to stream music, videos, and pictures from your computer through the game system. Pretty dummy proof, I set up my PS3 earlier and it works like a charm. Fun little toy. This and the Netflix app and I feel like I have a whole new piece of entertainment equipment.

I use Vuze/Azureus. It is very user friendly and automatically recognizes your game systems through your router so there is no set-up required.

TVersity seems like the way to go - pretty sure its codec support is unfuckwitable.

I might sound like a idiot with this question.. But if I have the PS3 hooked up with an ethernet chord directly to the modem, and have wireless network set up for the house which I use for my computers, can I still use this? Or do they all need to be on the same wireless network?

This makes no sense. No you don't have to be all hooked wirelessly.

More than likely your PS3 is connected with a wire to your wireless router with and ethernet cable. Then everything else you have is connected wirelessly to the same router. It should work.

Also, dragging and dropping music to iTunes is convenient as well!
