How to rip a copywrite protected cd?

I bought some cd that is only available in a "copywrite protected" version and need to get it on my ipod somehow. I used the same program that has worked to rip 100+ of my cd's so far, but when I try to rip this one, it makes mp3's, but scrambles the audio up like a scratched up cd.

I am using a really old freeware program called Audiograbber. Does anyone know of another program that will rip this?

Which CD is it? There are different ways around it depending on the method of copy protection used. If you can tell me the name of the CD, or even better, look at the info on the inlay to see if it tells you what copy protection is used, I can probably help you out.

Could you not just download it off the web? You've already paid for it, so you're not really stealing.

Fuck copy protected CDs though. I refuse to buy them. It only punishes legitimate customers and restricts fair use, cos the pirates can download it off the web anyway as no copy protection really works.

You could always do it the super gully ass way and use audio hijack pro and just record it in real time? Or I'm willing to bet $10000000000 that that same album is available online somewhere in 320 format...just download it.

I already found it in 192 somewhere on the web, but got the CD so wanted to make a 320 rip if possible. The only 320 rips I can find are incomplete.

I checked the inlay, but can't tell what kind of protection was used. It has this logo

I found a -V0 and a FLAC....not really into using up my ratio to download a flac....-V0 is equivilent to like 245kbps...it's high quality but not quite 320, but better than 192...how bad is the 192 tho? Do you really need the upgrade? I'll dl if you want it, mainly cuz I'm sure it's dope too and I don't have it, but the FLAC is like half a gig almost...lemme know.

The 192 isn't that bad. I'm just pissed off because I bought the CD and can't listen to it the way I want to. If you can hook up either the V0 or FLAC that would be cool.
