if you want to get the fullest out of your PSP, you'll need to get the following:

For Movies:

1) either an a) 1 gig chip (which is usually around $80 if you can find the right price) or b) the 4-gig/2x battery power add-on for $250.

2) Download PSP Video 9 and DVD Dycrypter (Which would require you to have a DVD-Rom), both free downloads

3) Rip movies and put it on your PSP and watch 2 to 3 high quality movies at your disposal. Should only take around 400 to 500 megs per movie to keep on your computer. If you need steps on how to put movies, ask, ill post it.

For Internet:

1) Wireless Router

2) Version 2.5 or above.

3) Keyboard and Mouse combination that'll be coming out in 2006.

For a portable TV (and quite possibly watch TV anywhere there is a wireless router):

1) Sony's LocationFree Player (which is around $300)

2) Version 2.6 or above

i dont think this one is worth it.

Games?

GTA: LCS
Lumines
LOH
Popolocrois
ECXC
800: 2:02
1600: 4:45
3200: 10:44
5000: 17:06

The coolest shit you can do is trade it in for system that you'll still play after a month.

Someone wanna tell me how to rip DVDs onto my hard drive in Sony's format (AKA iPod Video's format)?

Thaaaaankssss...

And Aresem, the consensus around here was that while the PSP is beautiful and incredibly capable of a lot of things, Sony is not putting much effort toward making any of the functions above average, and people here ended up getting pretty bored with it.

With that said, you should be very happy with your free PSP, as many of us are waiting for the price to get closer to $0 than $250 before we actually make a purchase.

Love,

Smooth "I'm just jealous" Lou

My friend just got one of these for around $200 and it's fucking awesome. He lives up near Baltimore and works down in DC and was watching DVD's in his player at home on his PSP all the way down in DC without a hitch. Crystal clear quality and everything. This shit is amazing.

I'm encouraging him to get like a 10 disk changer or something and just queue up DVDs to watch on his PSP during the day.
