I almost want to ban any Call of Duty games or Madden/sports games from Year End Polls, mainly because so many non-gamers only play those games or have played previous titles so they vote for what they know and skew the results.
And if anyone nominates Guitar Hero or some shit you should be banned from this forum.

Honestly, if you haven't played at least 6 different games this year, especially contenders for goty, than you really don't have a well-rounded enough knowledge base to contribute your opinion.

This is basically what i was saying a few posts earlier.
The extremely casual gamer pretty much always ruins these polls so that Madden or Call of Duty wins every year. Not saying that they aren't great games but the extremely large level of familiarity that most people have with the series ruins the poll results.
Red Dead gets my vote. Havent played Mario Galaxy 2 tho, loved the first one & heard the seconds even better. Super Street Fighter 4 would be a contender if it wasnt for the original being released last year.

heavy rain is too hated and not loved enough to be in the discussion in my opinion. interesting game for a while though.
Tossup between Red Dead, Borderlands, Mass Effect 2 and AC:Brotherhood for me. Halo:Reach, God of War 3 and Heavy Rain were dope too, definitely top 10 material. I am sure I am forgetting shit, maybe it'll come to me later.
