i must say that that dungeon under Saarthal was most interesting. Wasn't it fascinating? I've never seen anything like it! How interesting!
but really Tolfdir wasn't wrong. it was interesting, despite being mostly identical to the previous two dungeons i had explored.
game is the shit (though surprisingly similar to fallout 3 ((no elder scrolls frame of reference))

Tolfdir does talk a load of old shite though doesn't he? He's dope though. Once I copped the Telekinesis spell off him, the College of Winterhold has never been the same. Hit 100 in Alteration just by throwing baskets, skulls and fruit into those wells and the place looks like the morning after a house party.LilLeftBrain wrote:i must say that that dungeon under Saarthal was most interesting. I love that he says "gauntles".
I made up the other four hours later that day after I got some sleep.

RIP my horse frost. didn't even know you were still with me buddy, but when i ran down to winterhold to suppress a gang of magic anomalies, you were already there, hoofing into a sea of them for as long as you could muster. Thanks for the little help, my friend, and may shadowmere eventually bite the bullet as well so you may have some sweet horse ass joining you in horse heaven

bugs happen but they are so minor. compared to how fucking great and huge the rest of this game is, little bugs like people insta-spawning once every 30 hours arent really a problemCombo7 wrote:I'm sure this game is fun and all but how does something that's such a buggy mess get approved for release?

only bugs/glitches/problems ive had is the game freezing multiple times on the load screen after a fast travel or leaving a house (loading occasionally takes three-five minutes, so i'll generally wait at least ten before calling it a freeze and restarting) and then once on a mission to snuff out the skooma dealer in riften i reached through the wall to grab the stuff i needed out of a stachel instead of unlocking the door and it wouldn't let me complete the quest even after unlocking the door, putting the items back in the satchel then removing them once again, but that was no biggie because it autosaved three minutes before then so i had little retracing to do
then again i was late coming to the party so all of the little probelms had already been sorted
so

feel like i'm severely under armoured for this staff of magnus quest, suppose it's time to put the time into smithing/enchanting to get some shock resistant/magicka regenning armor going on. is this 'soul trap' conjuration spell the best way to fill all my soul gem empties up? haven't messed with it at all yet

far as i can tell it's just hoarding a bunch of shit to mix together and make better shit, with no skill improvements or xp or whatever. some of the soups you make will give you +15 stamina & +10 health, while their ingredients alone would probably just give you +6 health or so. adding salt and cooking the meat at least doubles what they will do for you too. can help if you have weak armor or few potions, but once you get all that going it seems like it would be rather pointless

it's a somewhat shitty thing to do but you can increase your speech as much as you please by persuading the bartender at the black briar infinitely. i feel like i wasted a few perks and am in dire need of some extra ones so imma do it 'til i'm four more skill levels up and i won't feel too bad about it and then can pep up my destruction & two hand to where they need to be so i can quit this sneaking/summon atronach constant loop i've been having to play to keep from getting merked left and right
could probably achieve the same effect from smithing up to 60 so i can enchant magical weapons/armor but that would take much longer

yeah cooking is completely worthless, it's just like making really really weak potions
my alchemy is at 100 and I've been making potions that improve my smithing by 120%, combined with a full set of enchanted armor that does total 120% better smithing, so now I'm a fucking one man army. My total armor rating is close to 1500 and my Daedric Warhammer is doing over 500 damage
too bad the game on PS3 runs worse than any game I've ever seen

in the late stages fallout 3 ran worse than this is currently running, for me.
i just need to take some time figuring out the best enchanted weapon/armors for my cat guy, take these six newfound perks in the appropriate places, then run shit all over skyrim
but after that thirty minute x button mashing/speechifying the bartender session i think this game is being put on hold for the next week. twas exhausting
