now all those pics are select shots like after a HR or a catch. Those aren't the actual graphics for the game play itself?

Actual ingame graphics, obviously they positioned the camera differently just to take the screenshots

Way too slow to watch, and I really can't respect a sport where you can go a full game without breaking a sweat. Everything about baseball, outside of pitching and catching, seems so soft. Rest days and the laughable injuries some guys have when they are taking days or weeks off is terrible.

You couldn't be more wrong but nothing I can say will change your mind. First off, of course they sweat. This shit isn't all relaxing like golf, but even golfers sweat. You ever see a pitchers forehead while pitching deep in a count? How about when the center field dive for a ball or when you run from 1B to 3B on a bloop single? Players sweat plenty but it's not a game like the NBA where you see their penises in HD while going for a lay-up. Plus, hitting a mid 90's breaking ball is probably harder than anything in any sport. Do you see what guys like King Felix, Matt Harvey or Kershaw can do with the ball? I bet not one NBA player can get a hit off Darvish. That isn't luck, that is skill.

Soft and breaks? They play the sport for Feb-October. That is 8 months with little breaks in between, not like the Celtics who can go 5 days without a game. 8 months they play this sport, sometimes in grueling heat. Do NFL or NBA players have that kind of a schedule? You seriously have no idea.

Not to derail the thread, but..

First, I said outside of pitching and hitting, so I completely understand that both of those are physically exhausting things to do. Diving for a baseball in centerfield? How often that happen? You have short bursts of energy, if you're lucky, surrounded by LONG waits of doing nothing. Yes, of course it is possible to sweat during a baseball game, but it is entirely possible to start and play a whole game without sweating a drop. That is laughable.

The skill in baseball is real. I would never say it is easy to become a pro. Saying a basketball player can't get a hit off of one of best pitchers in mlb doesn't make much sense though. What does that prove?

Basketball teams hardly ever go 5 days without a game. And there is a reason basketball and football don't have that type of schedule, they are playing physically demanding sports that won't let them. In that one basketball game a starter will probably take more punishment and exert more energy then a baseball player will in a month.

There's more action in a baseball game that football, so the slow argument is bullshit

Well PS4 drops on May 6. I bought the PS3 version today. Had a 20% off at Toys R Us, so I figured for $50 I should just stay put until there is a 2nd gen PS4 and more titles. Didn't want to drop $500 just to play this game with cooler graphics. Will report back later but I can't imagine its bad.

Fuck this game looks good. Kind of want a PS4 now...

Natty - how you gonna knock baseball injuries when you're an NBA guy? Please don't make me post youtube vids of NBA players in wheelchairs and/or crying because they jammed their pinkies.
