iPhone 4s in recovery mode. How to recover pictures???

My iphone 4s went into recovery mode while i was updating itunes. Its fucking stuck. And itunes is telling me the only options is the reformat the phone and start fresh. I haven't backed up anything since july! I have a lot of pictures that I don't want to lose. Is there a way to retrieve these pictures from a 4s that's in recovery mode???

Just saw this about 2 weeks late. Not sure if you figured this problem out or not (and I hope so) but if you can still use the device, why not upload the images to a photo service? If you need a recommendation, I'd say to DL the Picturelife app for 5GB free.

Ah, gotcha. This may help, a computer app called Tiny Umbrella that has a "Kick out of recovery mode" option for your iOS device.

Thanks but nothing works on 4s, 5 and 5s yet. No one has been able to jailbreak the new data encryption. I'm using a friends iphone4 for now hoping some one will crack that code in the future.
