Games With Gold on Xbox One has just started
You get 2 "free" games per month which you retain access to as long as you're a Gold subscriber. The first 2 games are Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault which are available now. If you've got an Xbox One, just find the games in the store and they'll show as being free as long as you've got a Gold account.
If you have a Gold account but you don't have an Xbox One, you can still "buy" the games here: -
https://store.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox-One/G ... 3d7d09ff5c
https://store.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox-One/G ... bf36ddc511
So, if you're still on the 360 but you might buy an Xbox One in the future, you'll still be able to play those games for free on it.
I'll update this thread every time new games are added.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is IMO. I bought that when it came out. It's a solid platformer with some drawing-based puzzle elements. I would have recommended buying it at its original price, but as you can now play it for free, it's a no-brainer.
Halo: Spartan Assault on the other hand, is pretty awful IMO. I've never been a big fan of the Halo games anyway, but Spartan Assault feels bland. It was released as a Windows 8/Windows Phone 8 app and ported over to the console, so it was never really designed as a console game to begin with. You can play co-op, so it might be fun with a friend, but I played it solo for a while last night and I found it dull and uninspired.

It kind of sucks that they don't let you keep them when your subscription lapses (like on the 360).
Re: Games With Gold on Xbox One has just started
I got Dark Souls last week when it was free but haven't played it yet

Guacamelee! Super Championship Turbo Edition is available now for Xbone Games with Gold. I just finished playing through it again on the PS4 for review. I loved the game and it is definitely a score for the program. Also, MAX: The Curse of Brotherhood carries over.
Re: Games With Gold on Xbox One has just started
tell me a bit about guacamelee
Re: Games With Gold on Xbox One has just started
Here is my review of vanilla Guacamelee. http://gamingillustrated.com/guacamelee ... ta-review/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Guacamelee is a "metroidvania" game set in Mexico focusing on Juan Aguacate, an agave farmer. He gets involved in some shit early on, dies and comes back to life as a luchador. He has to fight an evil charro skeleton named Carlos Calaca that plans to merge the living and the dead world together and rule over it all. Juan must stop him and rescue El Presidente's Daughter.
The game has a connected world map that involves backtracking throughout. Juan begins with a basic set of melee moves, throws and a dodge. Eventually you unlock newer super moves and can combo together the moves in various ways. There is a light and dark world that becomes integral to exploration and puzzle solving in the game.
Super Turbo Championship Edition features some new areas, a new set of challenges (shit gets rough), new enemies and a new boss.
If anyone cares, I'll link over the Super Turbo review when it publishes.
