Thru 4/5 Gamestop is giving $175 towards PS4 for PS3/XBox360

I was considering trading in my PS3 since I doubt I'll ever actually play it again and $175 isn't far off from what I bought it for originally ($199 black friday special). I'll probably hold onto the 360 tho for the free games with Gold.

This would be a good deal if the PS4 had any games to play on it. Personally, I don't really see the appeal in "next gen" systems yet. No DLNA support? Gimme a break. Let me know when you come up with something more than a Madden with better graphics.

No, I have an Xbox One, Wii U and the gaming PC from the other thread. Getting a PS4 would allow me to play its exclusive titles. If I already had a PS4 I wouldn't need to trade in my PS3 for one.

I'm debating on whether I should keep the PS3 to play older titles/PS1 games. I could always pick one up later when the price hits sub $100.

I'm pretty sure it is retail price... $400.00 - $175.00 = $225.00 plus tax.

I may be wrong about this, but I think you could get the one that comes with a digital code for The Last of Us Remastered as well.

After much deliberation I've decided to hang onto my PS3 and just wait for a future price drop or deal on a PS4. As stupidregister said there isn't anything to play on it yet that I can't play on Xbone or PC. I've always regretted selling my old systems in the past as well.

It didn't come with HDMI so you don't need that. You'll probably need the standard av cables if you still have them.

wont ever get a ps4. theyve lost their audience in my opinion. but then again im 30 and that shot at the madden games is 150% on point. now that ncaa is out of business im sure theyll be better (by purchasing talent/intellectual property etc) but not good enough justifying the purchase of a whole new system just to play some game that will NEVER be what it ought to be which is a really sweet game that gives you an awesome football-esque experience.

You need a display cable of some kind for it to count. I gave them an hdmi cable I bought for 4 bucks off amazon.

Looks like there's a new promotion:

$125 for PS3 or Xbox 360 toward the purchase of a new Xbox One (not sure why they dropped this promo $50 from the PS4 one, maybe because the Xbox One is already $50 less expensive than a PS4).
