Splatoon

best shooter in the game right now. i wouldn't have even bought this if it didn't come bundled with the system (wii U) but now it's my fav game.
it flips everything about traditional shooters. you shoot globs of coloured ink that cover the map. the objective is to cover more of the map than the opposing team (4v4) by the end of three minutes. kills are only useful insofar as they interrupt the opposing team's progress.
it's fast paced and deeply strategic, since the objective is based on holding territory. you move easier on your own ink, and you can swim in it to travel around the map even faster. there are a few different roles you can play that vary in efficacy depending on your weapon.
i've played a lot of the new star wars battlefront since my homie & my sister's bf both have it. I'm no expert but i feel like shooters stick too close to the formula, and even with all the cool star wars shit it feels stale next to splatoon. THIS SHIT IS CRACK.
