No Man's Sky
I'm looking forward to this game so much that I will be disappointed. How can one not get overcome with hype when reading about it, though? The scope is gargantuan.
Re: No Man's Sky
Doing my best to go in with low expectations, because there's no way it could ever live up to the hype.
Some mug paid $1300 for an advanced copy and pretty much finished it.

Ok, but that shit is 30 minutes long. Cliff notes?
Re: No Man's Sky
Cliff notes:
Shallow and repeatitive gameplay.
Mining for minerals is a grindfest.
Inventory management is a nightmare and sucks the life out of the game.
On foot and spaceship combat is bad.
Game crashes far too often on both PS4 and PC.
Galaxy map UI is poor - backtracking to previously visited systems and planets is way too tedious to even bother with.
Many of the features which were major selling points were missing from the finished product.
Hello Games are supposedly providing free patch updates to the game which should enhance and add additional gameplay, but right now, the game isn't really worth the $60 price tag.

Word. That shit always looked like an overglorified tech demo to me. I'd love to fly around in it for a few hours though.
Re: No Man's Sky
Yea. 80% of what sold me on the game isn't even in it. I'd go as far as saying it strides the precipice of false advertising.
Re: No Man's Sky
biggest let down ever? I can't think of a bigger one
Re: No Man's Sky
New free update is a step in the right direction in making amends. Might be too little, too late for some folks I guess.
